General Electric DVL223EB1WW Electric dryer no longer heats up. Still blows air, cold, but no heat?? Any suggestion?

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.



if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....



If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Replaced heating element and it still wont fire up

Ok got a GE DVL223EB1WW Insufficent Heat

Yes think so , what should happen is element heats up controlled by fan blowing cold air across it this then heats to whatever thermostat is set to switch at, which in turn controls heat level..Air is then exausted via hose to waste unless its a condenser drier which then turns the steam back to water / which is collected in a waste condesate drum..hope this is helpful...

5 Year old Kenmore Elite Electric Dryer will not heat.

limit switch either the one on the heating element or the one in the air duct they are easy to check if u know how to use a meter they should read continuity when they are cold and open up at a certain temp

sounds like a heating element. not to hard. remove the back and its is right there.
