There may be a safety thermal cutout switch that is out of whack.

I'm having the same problem with my heater. It will run for a while then turn off. Un plug and plug it back in and it always starts up. Runs for varying lengths of time and turns off. Would you eleborate on diagnosing the thermal cut out switch?

Ready Heater 60 wont start. Fan runs for about 5 seconds and then stops.

Check the wires for good connections. If the connections are good, then check the adjustment for the ignitor (sparker or glowplug).

Runs for 10 to 20 mins. than shuts down

Clean the sensor that insures flame is burning.

Heater runs but smells like exhaust fumes then when running stops for split second then keeps going after a big poof of smoak

Replace the spark plug first. The fuel may also be contaminated. If you can stand the
smoke go for it.

Heater comes on fine runs 5 to 10 minutes and quits. sometimes it doesn't run that long

Are you using old fuel from last year? If so, drain/clean tank. Check/replace fuel filter. Refuel with fresh fuel & test again.

Do i need to replace filter if i have been using kerosene and want to switch to diesel

No, the kerosene is number 1 fuel oil and Diesel is number 2. No.2 is a heavier fuel with more BTU's than the kerosene. After you have burned the diesel for awhile, you may want to change the filter. If you have trouble getting the diesel to burn, mix it with 25% kerosene and it will flow and go through the nozzle easier

Kerosene heaters run for 30 mins then shuts off.

Sounds like the pump or air filter is dirty. If cleaning them doesn't help, the pump will need to be rebuilt.

Pro 110, runs 10 min., blows white smoke ,shuts off

the first thing you need to do is go back to useing K1 kerosene, diesel fuel not only burns dirty but also has a tendency to gel up in cold weather which could be makeing it hard for the heater to draw the proper amount of fuel. To reset the pressure you will need a gage, it should run at about 6-7 psi. you can order a pressure gage from mr. heater online, they are by far the cheapest I have found as they are the actual manufacturer or call 1-800-251-0001
