Would like to know where i caan get dvd x copy platinum in the ripper free version, so i can use it with a program called any dvd. i have version 4038 with the ripper now

There is software what allows for clonning non-copyprotected dvd. It is called CloneDVD. There are ways to remove copy protection but this you have to find on your own, since this forum is not about pirating dvd. For your information even blueray disks can be copied using right software and compatible drives. You need to do your own research. Maybe DVDFaB ? ??????

For an alternative, you might google DVDShrink (old but free). I like that and WinX DVD Ripper Platinum (the paid version about $30). http://www.winxdvd.com/ Between the 2 of them, I have not found a DVD I could not copy.

Its not that easy as is sounds to do that.
First of all there is probably some protection on the dvd that wont allow you to copy it, therefor you need to crack that protection
Second, you need to remake that dvd to an "img" file, the dvd contains two folders as it is now, one called Audio TS and one called Video Ts, you need to remake those to an IMG file, that you can do in Nero
Third, you need a program to mount up the IMG file so you can play it, for that you need a program like Deamon Tools or any similiar program.
So if you manage to do all above, every time you going to play that dvd you must mount it in Deamon ( or any similiar program), you cant just copy it and press play and watch it.
The hard thing is to crack the protection on a dvd since there is so many diferent of them out there.
