hello try retuning the free view see if there a software update for the freeview box. make your aerial connected to the tv securely and the scart lead is connected securely as well good luck

HI, does the tv have freeview?
If not you will need one and tune the free view box.

On my tv , when they turned the signal off i had to switch to the DVB section on the tv setup section, so without knowing your model number, I can't tell you what to do.

This is not related to your aerial as you have good reception with your TV. Some receiving units (i.e your DVDr) need the channel memory to be cleared before the re-scan is done. Otherwise the scan gets corrupted.

To resolve this do the following;

1. Remove the aerial from the equipment and leave unplugged.
2. Go to the menu and select rescan or retune. It’ll take a few minutes, but when it’s done, it should say ‘'no channels found’.
3. Disconnect the equipment from the mains power supply and leave it un-plugged for 30secs.
4. Re-connect both the aerial and the mains power supply and switch the equipment back on.
5. Go to menu again and select rescan or retune. You should now have all the channels available to you.

most factory reset codes are 1234 / 0000 / 5555 or 8888

The tuner in the DVD recorder also needs to be digital. If you have a converter box that would take care of it, otherwise you'll need a new DVD recorder.

some boxes cant take this new retune you just have to buy a new box im affraid

It would be best to contact Virgin supportin your country for instructions.

Visit www.virgin.com and select you location etc.

This is a technical problem with your local service provider. Doubtful that it is your box unless the free view portion has expired. Otherwise check with your provider. If it is not a technical problem with them they will send someone out to investigate.
