The license is for one-time use only. Your best bet is to contact Texas Instruments, they are generally very friendly to educators.

You have two options for this, find the support page on education.ti.org or search for your local TI Representative. TI deploys local and regional representatives across the countries just for the purpose of assisting teachers with technology.

My Calculator is saying operating system not found. Install OS now. How do I install Os?

To transfer the operating system to the handheld, connect your handheld and computer with a USB Connection Cable and use TI-Nspire™ Teacher Software with TI-SmartView™ or TI?Nspire CX Student Software (Windows® / Mac®).
This is the link that will download the OS (it's free) to your computer:

TI-nspire student software doesn't download

You must be connected to the internet while installing, because the software validates the license with the Texas Instruments website. It probably creates a unique ID that links the license number, and your computer so that you may not install it on more than one computer.

The standalone version of the OS for the TI84Plus/TI84Plus SE are not for TI-Nspire with TI84 keyboard. The 94 Plus part of the TI-Nspire is updated when you update the OS of the TI-Nspire. The version numbers are different.
To update you TI84 portion of the TI-Nspire, update the OS for the TI-Nspire. Thy are now at Version 3.2.3.1233

Error 1308. Source file not found: E:\PC\TI-NSP~2\Program Files\TI Education\TI-Nspire\locale.properties. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Maybe the file is missing, or there is a defect on the disk. I suggest you go the education.ti.com website and download the trial software from there. Install it on your computer and validate it with the license that came with your calculator.

Every time I launch the TI-nspire software, I get and error message saying that the system clock has been changed[C24]. Reset clock to current date and time, and contact TI if this error continues. How do...

You get that message if you own a license for the TINspire Software, and you installed it on one computer, but now you are trying to use it on another computer.Apparently a single license can only be installed and validated once with a TINspire and the computer. I have had the same problem and have not found a way to revoke the license on the old computer and revalidate it on the new computer.

My TI Nspie CAS calculator is restarting frequently

Hello,
If you remove battery door, the TINspire CAS cannot be turned ON.
You may try to reset the unit by pressing the reset button on the back of the unit. If that does not solve the problem, you may try to reinstall or update the OS.

Anyway, here is what the Texas Instruments Knowledge Base has to say about reinstalling the OS. Hope it helps.

What steps are required to reinstall the TI-Nspire family operating system?

To reload the device’s OS using a computer with TI-Nspire Computer Link:
• Connect the TI-Nspire device (with the Nspire keypad) to the computer using the USB Standard A to Mini B cable.
• Open the TI-Nspire Computer Link software. The select device dialog should appear, and detect the device.
• Either drag the OS file (available in the ‘downloads’ area at education.ti.com) onto the TI-Nspire File Browser portion of the window, or click Tools -> Install OS.
To reload the device’s OS using another TI-Nspire or TI-Nspire CAS device:
• Connect the two devices using the USB Mini A to Mini B cable. The end marked A should be inserted into the sending unit, while the end marked B should be inserted into the receiving unit.
• On the sending unit, access the document chooser by pressing [Home] [7]. Once in the document chooser, press [Menu] and choose 9:Send OS…
NOTE: Users can only send an OS to a unit of the same model. Users cannot send an OS from a TI-Nspire to a TI-Nspire CAS.
Please see the TI-Nspire guidebooks for additional information.
