I have Thomson WHP3001BK wireless earphones.( purchased for me ) AND Bose TV sound system will the earphones cut out the sound for other TV watchers.

Hi Anonymous, you are surely taking the signal for your wireless headphones, from the headphone output of your Bose sound system
This usually cuts the sound in the external speakers
Try to find another type of audio output for your headphones
Comment on what Bose system you have, so I would try to find a better solution
I hope you comment

Volume barely audible with control high. is this perhaps a pre amp problem? Earphone output works fine.

No the pre-amp just gives you enough volume to hear it, the main amp takes it higher. However since the sound is normal on earphones. Then it is the headphone connection that is faulty. The socket side, not the headphones themselves. When headphones are placed in a unit, the plug breaks the contact with the internal or external speakers. But when it's removed it should restore the sound to the speakers. But your unit is not doing that, so there is a bad connection on the socket.

How do i put my pioneer receiver to my cable tv,dvd. vsx-917-v-k

For this purpose I am using headphone output of the TV set. I connect the headphone output to the AUXiliary input of the receiver. All you need is an interconnection cable, one end with 3,5 mm stereo male earphone jack, the other end with a pair of RCA jacks. This output of TV provides an additional output signal to your receiver but volume control behaviour (independent volume control for earphone output etc.) changes for different brands of TV sets.

Left earphone broken

Bad headphones/speakers

It's unlikely your headphones or speakers are bad, but it's worthwhile to eliminate these as the source of your problem at the beginning. Try your iPhone with another set of headphones or speakers just to make sure that the problem is with the iPhone.

Bad audio jack

The most likely cause of audio output problems on iPhone 4S is a bad audio-out jack. If you have determined that the problem does not lie in your external speakers, you should replace the headphone jack.
please follow the steps and fix it.
God bless you

No sound/audio while playing tv.

Hello

If there is no audio output from your tv, either your TVs speaker or its audio output IC has damaged. You just check it with an earphone/headphone, if there is an earphone or headphone socket in front panel of your TV. If there is sound from the headphone/earphone, and not from the speaker, means the speaker has damaged. You have to replace it with same type and number. Just check your set's audio out socket, if any provided, connet it to any external audio sourse, like amplifier or so, and check whether there is sound output from it. If not, your Tv/combos' sound processing IC inside has some trouble.
most common fault is related to sound output IC or speaker itself. If speaker is found OK, go to the sound output section. This section can be easly located as speaker wire goes to that section, and follow it. Before replacing the IC, check its leads for any loose or bad soldering. i advice you to resolder all the terminals of that IC, by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridge loose contacts between them. If this does not helps, replace the IC with an identical type and number. OK.

No sound

Hello

First you check the speaker of your Daewoo Tv. To check the whether the speaker is good or damaged, place your year very close to the speaker side of your TV, and switch the TV by its front panel power switch, not by the remote control. If you can hear a "Thumb" sound from the speaker, as the TV is switched on, the speaker is good and you have to to further. If not speaker has got damaged and have to be replaced.
If your TV is provided with an earphone or headphone socket at its fron panel, insert a earphone or headphone pin into it and listen whether there is sound coming from it or not. If ther comes the sound, it doesnot comes to the speaker, means that the headphone or earphone socket is faulty. Replacing it will solve the problem.
If there is AV OUT from your TV, connect it to an amplifier or so to get the sound. If there is sound and no output from speaker, means the Audio Output IC inside your TV is faulty.
Just locate the audio output Ic, and replace it with same type and number. Audio Output IC can be easly located ans speaker wire goes to that section, and follow the speaker wire. locate it. If you need any more assistance, feel free to contact me through Fixya. OK.

N no sound

Hello
you just start from speaker first. if the speaker is out there will be no sound output from your TV. To confirm this, just plug in an earphone or headphone pin into the headphone or earphone socket , if provided, on the TV. If sound is available through headphone, it means that the sound output section of your TV has no trouble, but the speker is out. Replacing it with same type and number will resolve your problem. If there is no sound fron the earphone too, surely the sound output section inside the circuit board of your TV has the fault.
If so you have to open your TV. Locate the sound output stage, which can be easly locted through following the speaker wires. There will be an Ic [Sound Output Ic], normally screwed onto a metal plate, to radiate heat out when it works. Check for any bad solderings at the legs of that Ic by tuning the printed circuit board upside down. It is very difficult to locate loose solderings. i always do is, resoldering the suspected solder points by applying a little more solder. You also do this first. If it does not help, resolder the Ic out from the circuit board, and go for a same type and number. Replacing it will solve your problem. In some RCA sets, sound section is built out on to another board. Locate it and do the same. OK.

The right ear has completely lost signal output. Anything I can do to save these awesome headphones?

check the wiring at the base of the right earphone .
try to put it on and giggle the wire around while listening to it .
the common problem with most head phones is the the wire is twisted too often and break at the base of the earphone .
If this is not the case , check the plug which could again be the same problem .
If the problem persist , the speaker could be faulty of one of the channels on the earphone output could be down .
