The fault code indicates a draining problem and the display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice. Either the pump filter is blocked, the drain hose is clogged/kinked, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working.

Disconnect power and
remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Let us know if the problem persists and you need further advice.

F02 is fault code for DRAIN, the pump may be blocked or the drain hose blocked or kinked. Most washers have an access plug behind the lower front panel of the machine which you can open and check for blockage of the pump.

My Maytag FAV6800 washer hungs part way through a cycle the timer on the front display stops at about 23 on the quick wash cycle.

Sounds like a pressure switch/ chamber issue. Check the tube is clear to the drum. (Assuming front loader?)

My Maytag Neptune front loader always retains water after the rinsing cycle is complete. This has lead to mold in the door gasket and a moldy smell. Is it normal for water to stay in the machine after the...

pump is probably clogged not allowing all water to drain out. Should never see water in the tub at the end of a cycle. About once a month you should run your washer through a cycle with hot water and bleach. Doing that should keep the moldy smell down.

Water stays in drum after cycle is complete and odor

I think from what you have said, that you have a pump problem. The water pump on most washers collect all sorts of bits and pieces including small coins. You may be able to clean out the pump if it is not a sealed unit.
