I have my PS3 plugged into my tv with an HDMI cable, and it was wroking fine just yesterday. But today I moved it back to my living room tv where it usually is but nothing shows up. It just says "Incompatible video signal: Check OutPut Deice settings" please help!

Is it hooked up with HDMI cable?

If so try unplugging the HDMI cable and re plugging the cable in, sometimes those cables work loose and if they are not tight, it will cause your screen to flicker. Happens to my TV once in awhile.

Hello sir

This is because your Emerson does not support full HD (unlike your 52").
To fix this:
i) Make sure your PS3 is off (showing red light) ii) Hold down the power button for 5-6 seconds until you've heard two beeps
You should now be able to reset your video options - make sure 1080P is not checked and you should be able to use your PS3 fine with your Emerson.
When you reconnect to your bigger TV, do the same trick with the power button again and turn 1080P back on.

did you move the ps3 while it was on. If you did the reset for AV should repair both the AV problem and your HDMI as well. Shoot me a message back if it works or doesn't.

The problem is with your PS3 itself.
If it's still under warranty, take it back.

WHEN YOU START YOUR PS 3, KEEP YOUR FINGER ON THE START BUTTON UNTIL YOU EAR A SECOND BEEP ( BETWEEN 5 & 10 SECONDS); THIS WILL RESET AND SELECT THE RIGHT CONNECTION . I HAD TO FIND THIS PROBLEM WHEN WE WERE SWITCHING FROM THE LIVING ROOM TO MY KID'S ROOM.

I posted to your problem with a similar one. I was able to get my PS3 to work by:

1.) Powering down both the PS3 and ViewSonic LCD
2.) Unplugging the power cables to both PS3 and LCD
3.) Waiting at least 10 or more seconds
4.) Plugging in the power cables to both PS3 and LCD
5.) Turning on the ViewSonic LCD
6.) Turning on the PS3 and holding down the power button until the beep

After this sequence I heard the bootup audio and the menu appeared on the screen- which detected the HDMI connection to my LCD.

Very odd.. I've had my PS3 in the same place for months and just today this happened.

This happened to me a few years back so I apologize if it's not 100% accurate. If you can get it to work on another TV, go ahead and connect it to that, and go in to the settings to select the video input. If it's connected through an HDMI cable, then it will probably be set to HDMI. Change the input here to whatever cable you used in the living room. You will have to power it off at this stage, but when you connect to the other TV it should work.

Did you try holding down the Power button until you heard 3 beeps? It is not uncommon for the video output to exceed the resolution of different television. This hard reset feature was added to troubleshoot such a problem, factory resetting the video settings.
