Lock the compter by clicking ob Win+L then click shift keys again and again then hear some noise from the desktop and if some sound is coming then nned to install te driver otherwise nned to replace the speaker.

You can go to Dell their web site and purchase a recovery DVD or CD for your model. Or you can purchase a copy of Win 7 or XP and reload your computer make sure that you have the BIOS first boot to boot to CD or DVD ROM first boot. Just to to the setup option when booting for boot order. Set it there. Now that you have done this insert the Windows XP or Vista or Win 7 whichever you have and it will go from there. Be sure to do a full install it will format your drive and make sure that you are online. So in essence you do not need recovery discs to do this just Windows Operating System Disc is all that is needed.
You will also have to possibly download drivers if you purchase Win 7 most of the drivers are downloaded for you if you are online during the during the installation. This is what I do to deviate all the junk software that comes from the factory to sell me things or things I do not need. Just a suggestion. I hope this assisted you. John

Drivers for HP pavilion with win xp

HP does not offer Windows XP drivers.

But, the chipsets on the HP computer are made by 3rd party companies. So, you mighty find out, for example, who makes the Audio chip and on their website find generic drivers for that chip, that will work in Windows XP.

Here are some I found:

Nvidia Chipset GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 (mutiple drivers) XP DRIVERS

Realtek High Definition 8-channel audio, ALC 888S chipset XP DRIVERS

Have you already installed Windows XP on the computer? If so, did you look in the Device Manager to see what devices have problems or undefined devices with question marks?

Need a full win xp installer with sata driver

which is the version of xp u have.. i think xp sp2 has the xp drivers or you can manually load the drivers when trying to install xp pressing a f6 key.. for which you must have the floppy disk with the sata drivers from the hard disk manufacturer..
