1)Try reseting your circuit breaker - all the way off then back on. 2)Check element for continuity or breaks in it.

SOURCE: electric dryer won"t heat. Kenmore Heavy Duty 70

are you getting power down to the heater?why did you change all those other parts?you need to unplug the dryer, with a meter read out all the parts you changed out again but first make sure you have 240 volts coming to the machine, you can check it at the cord in the back, touch the white to the red,you should have 110 volts or 120,then go from the white to the black and you should have the same thing,if not the problem is in the house,if it's correct make sure you have power coming down to the heater, you could have a bad timer or a burnt wire, when you check the other parts unplug the dryer and whatever part you check at least one wire has to be removed,do this and you'll find your problem,if you did this first you wouldn't of bought all those parts.let me know what you find

Kenmore 70 series dryer won't heat

Post the model number for clarity. These tests should only be attempted by competent service personnel. Do you actually have 220 power? Are both legs of circuit hot...at 120v? While dryer is unplugged from power, check the heating coil for continuity. Also check continuity to ground from each end of heater (should not have continuity to ground at both ends). Also there should be power to the heating element when activated.

I have a 70 series kenmore dryer bought it from a used appliance guy cant find him now it worked find for a month now it doesnt heat up! been lookin online seems its most likely to be the thermo fuse or...

The thermo fuse will not cause your problem. If the fuse is bad it will cut the dryer off compleatly.

There are two limit switches on the heater can and the heating element. If you have an ohmmeter you can test for continuity across the element and the limit switches. If one of the limits is open replace both limit switches and if the element is oepn replace the element.

My kenmore dryer series 70 is not heating, i replaced igniter, thermo sensor, and still does not heat....there is no glow from inside please help....

Check the fuse Note: Gas dryer thermofuse is linked to the gas assembly and blows whenever the temp exceeds 350f rapidly. Remove all air restrictions15f9d55.jpgbefore replacing that fuse or you will just need to keep buying em.f8e11bb.jpg65c991e.jpg

Kenmore 70 Series Dryer Model# 110.64742400

check the thermal fuse if it is blown also change the high limit thermal cut-off fuse www.repairclinic.com shows your parts. go there and enter model number. Also check the heat element. to get into it remove the lint filter and the two screws you'll see there then pry the top up at the front corners. And through the back you should find the heat element and blower housing and thermal fuse and high limit fuse and cycling thermostat.

Kenmore dryer 70 series flame ignites, but goes out after 5 mins

If it's gas, the coil valves get weak and are unable to hold themselves open when hot. First, check the exhaust vent. If it's clogged, it can't remove heat and it will shut off prematurely. Most likely the coil valves though.
