I was told that the Aqua Flo Master Xp2 Spa pump 1.5 hp 2 speed pump was the equivalent to the Sta rite Max E Pro 2 speed pump but then from another source was told that the Aqua Flo was not made for in the ground outside hot tubs. Is this correct or is there an equivalent to the Max E Pro 2 speed that I could use for my in ground spa?

I responded to the previous question in regards to the motor only. The xp2 does not have the strainer basket that the max-e-pro has . If this was a regular hot tub, the xp2 would work great, if this is above ground, then you do need a pump with a strainer basket. Again the xp2 will not work for an inground hot tub as the set up is different than an above ground unit.

Need 2 complete replacements for a FLo Master spa pump 06630397-2 -do you carry and how much?

best is to see if they can be repaired, you need a experienced pump repair shop with free testing, these are hard pumps to work on. or keep a eye out on craiggslist.

My Spa needs a new pump. A Max E Pro Pump 2 speed was recomended but I found a Aquaflo Flo-Master Xp2 Spa Pump 1.5 Hp Two Speed which is new for about $400. less. Can I use the Aquaflo model just as well?

Yes, and I recommend and install them. Look at the voltage and Amperage information on both as well. It is typical to see 220V @ 12.9 amps. If you find this on both motors, they are the same size anyways.

It would take a while to explain, but motor manufacturers can rate a motor @ 1.5HP or 2HP and it can be the same motor. They use a rating called a "service factor" to screw around with the actual HP of a motor. But even if the 1.5 is a 1.5, it would be sufficient.
