Amana AFB2534DE Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator Logo
Posted on Jan 12, 2011

The other morning I woke up to a fridge with no power. I'm not sure if the problem is the fridge or my oulet. The only reason I do not know for sure is that I cannot get my fridge out of where it is. So I wanted to know, before I pulled the whole thing out, is if there is some type of reset button or test button that will turn it back on. I've checked and tested all my other outlets, so It may just be the outlet behind the fridge thats not working. But before I decide on that I want to try to rule the fridge out.

No power even to light inside refrigerator

Check the fuse in the plug to the fridge and replace only with the same type and values. Unplug and check the cable for signs of damage.

I woke up one morning and the fridge is not working but the freezer is working great. The fridge does not want to get any cooler than it used to be, it is not keeping our products cold. My fridge freezer...

the damper vent door between the freezer and fridge has stuck shut due to being frozen, you need to remove the freezer wall on the inside rear area to see if this door is shut and try to get it to move, also make sure the evaporator fan is running too so air gets moved from the freezer to the frideg

Dometic rm2611 quit on the road today all lights

If the fridge is complete dead (no lights no fan, no compresor, etc.) looks like there's not power in the unit.Check if theres power in the oulet if you know how , if you don't put the fridge in an oulet that you know is power , if still doing nothing probably the cord is broken or burned and the power doesn't go throught it from the oulet to the fridge.

My vacum is not powering up

Reason number 1 (not sure why Kirby Co. still has not fixed it) - improperly installed outer bag. You have to push the bag all the way to the unit so it presses the safety switch that is between exhaust and the vacuum shell

Reason 2 - defective cord - try wiggling it. If you know how to do it - try removing cord and supplying power directly to the unit using another cord or wire (ONLY if you know how to work with electricity. If you get zapped - do not blame me)

Reason 3 - bad power switch (instructions on how to replace it HERE)

Reason 4 (very unlikely) - motor KAPUT

GE side by side (purchased 2005; don't know exact model)

Defrost timer issue is my guess. It is generally located behind the rear inside panel in the fridge section. I'm guessing about $150-200 or so to fix it.
