Zanussi turbo dry 1050 goes through cycles but will not spin or drain so is full of water what can i do

  • poormansfoot Nov 26, 2008

I also have this problem on this machine - I've checked the filter - and yes it needed cleaning - but no change. The machine starts a spin - so it can do that bit - but it just then slows down and ticks over. Any help much appreciated

I find the wires from my wife's bra get stuck in the filter. You need a bit of brute force (not too much - don't break the filter) and dextrous fingers in the filter to get them out. When the filter is out just feel in the hole it's come out of to make sure that there's nothing else in there to get caught up again.

Have a AEG Lavamat Turbo wash dryer that stalls mid cycle full of water and code 21

E21 means a blockage in the drain pump.
I would check the impeller spins freely. A coin from a pocket can cause that error as it gets stuck in the impeller.

Zanussi Lindo 300..keeps adding water to finishing spin cycle

If your Zanussi Lindo 300 washing machine keeps adding water to the finishing spin cycle, there may be a few possible causes. Here are some steps you can try to diagnose and fix the problem:
  1. Check the Drain Hose: Make sure that the drain hose is not clogged or kinked, which can prevent the water from draining properly. Try removing any blockages or straightening any kinks in the hose.
  2. Check the Water Inlet Valve: The water inlet valve may be faulty, which can cause the washer to continue adding water. You can try cleaning the valve or replacing it if it is faulty.
  3. Check the Pressure Switch: The pressure switch controls the water level in the washer. If it is faulty, it can cause the washer to continue adding water. Try cleaning the switch or replacing it if it is faulty.
  4. Check the Control Board: The control board is the brain of the washer and controls all the functions. If it is faulty, it can cause the washer to not operate correctly. Try resetting the control board or replacing it if it is faulty.
  5. Check the Door Lock: The door lock may be faulty, which can cause the washer to not enter the spin cycle and continue adding water. Try cleaning the lock or replacing it if it is faulty.
  6. Check the Motor: The motor may be faulty, which can cause the washer to not enter the spin cycle and continue adding water. Try resetting the motor or replacing it if it is faulty.
If none of the above steps work, it may be best to contact a professional technician for further diagnosis and repair. They can inspect the washer thoroughly and ensure that it is working correctly and safely.

Hi my Zanussi ZWG 1120M washing machine has stopped spinning, no error code is displayed, what could this be?

First check if the water remaining in the drum?
If it is, then the fault is in the drain phase (drain pump,filter...etc.) before the spining cycle.
Otherwise, faulty is motor, belt, electronic....etc.
By the way, model is unknown to me.

My Zanussi WJD 1257 washer/dryer's drying cycle has started finishing early. No error codes. The wash cycle works fine but the drying cycle is simply stopping prematurely. You can set it to dry for 45...

Good Day,
Your washing machine is fully automatic?
the washing cycle is normal?
if yes do the same maybe it will help you.
for the fully automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the filter of your drain pump, how? remove the cup of your drain pump like a ordinary cup, screw it clock wise or counter clock wise.
Remove drain pump filter and clean it, some hair pins, cotton buds or coins or any small item that coz of clog up.
if your washing machine dont have drain pump ,but fully automatic check the drain motor if running or not? how? open the back cover for top loader washing machine only, select spin cycle and press start to see the drain motor running? the drain motor is like a small box with small wire to pull the lever of the drain to remove water inside, if the motor running or pull the lever of the water pipe but water still inside the washing machine, remove the drain cup or cover and clean it or check if have coin or cloth inside that coz of clog or water stuck,
if the drain pump or drain motor is weak this is will cause and long time draining or totally not running the drain pump or drain motor and its cause of totally stop the cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time, because all fully automatic washing machine, after washing cycle the drain pump or drain motor must be on, to remove water before start the next cycle. rinse or spin cycle.

My wmd 1050 front loader won't continue with its cycle. It fills, does a few turns, empties and finishes., all in a few minutes. It doesn't seem to wash but will spin dry when manually put on a spin dry...

Are you sure the machine is not overfilling? next step after filling would be water heating - sounds like a water heating problem if machine spins and drains ok. Maybe a coin in the wash has punctured the element? water heater can be test for insulation / continuity if you have a high voltage tester, or remove it and examine if not by releasing the nut and pulling firmly. If it is scaled, holed or black replacement will be needed. Sometimes socks or clothing stuck on the heater cause localised overheating that will make it fail.

Zanussi washer dryer showing e20 error message in dryig cycle

Hi

This means that the filter is clogged. Unscrew the filter it'll be full of lint. E20 also means drain problem. If it actually goes through the Spin cycle then there is most likely some water still not drained out at the time of the tumble dry. Check the drain and the hose to make sure it isn't clogged.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Try cleaning out the pump, and main hose to sump. If problem persists replace pump.

Zanussi turbodry 1050

this may sound silly but check the waste outlet pump electrically, some models are wired up so if the pump fails the water will not enter the machine, this works on the theory that if it fills up it can not empty also check the solenoids for open circuit electrically, double check the water supply to the machine, it may have been fine but you could have kinked the pipe placing the machine back where it should go?

It appears that you may have a faulty door interlock or a faulty PCB. pcb is not really a DIY job as some boards require proramming on certain versions. Regards Advisor
