Convergence Adjust The set is displaying blue shadows with possibly some yellow secondary shadows. When I push the Convergence Adjust button all lines are centered except the blue cross lines. The blue horizontal line is straight; however, the vertical blue line is bowed (not straight at all). I have the Hitachi CLU-5711TSI remote if that will help in any way. It does not appear that the Convergence Adjust button will do anything but display the cross lines (basically, I do not know how to adjust the lines that are there). Please help. Thanks Bob

I would suggest you go into the menu and select convergence and then advanced convergence (set will display on screen instructions) and call up the grid of lines by doing that---the grid of lines you see should all be yellow---if you see red or blue lines out of position try with the Mitsubishi remote to adjust them.

If they will not adjust the set needs the convergence circuit repaired.

For many if this is the issue it can be a do it yourself repair--I have complete instructions for this repair in this set---start to finish.

Look first to see if this is your problem.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right. And you should be able to get the grid straight.

Something is not right here--The green is adjustable in the TECH menu--did this person adjust or try to adjust in the customer or the TECH menu?

If you confirm actual model number I can tell you how to get into the TECH menu--yes--green will not adjust in customer menu--it determines geometry and is only adjusted in the TECH menu.

Also, this set requires any convergence adjustments to be done in 480 and then in 1080--if only adjusted in one mode the other will still be bad.
