I'm assuming you're referring to the Administrative password for this model.

You will have to contact Dell by phone and give evidence that you are the owner of the notebook on record with them. Once that has been done, they will give you a Master Password that you can use. There may be a charge for this assistance.

You can download the device drivers from Dell WEB site,the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop,better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages,the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Is it a bios password or windows password?


For Windows Password, As far as I know , there are two main methods to solve the windows password problem as follows:

1st Method:
Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type \Administrator\ (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.
Now you can reset your account password from \Control Panel - User Accounts\.
Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.

2th Method:

if you do not have the bios password you have to open it ..and clear bios by short the pins if you find them...or remove the bios battery for 10 seconds..and will be on factory optimal defolts

remove the laptop and, bios battery wait 10 minutes then reconnect the bios battery and repower with the power supply

To remove a BIOS password will require the assistance of Dell Tech Support. 800-624-9896 You will have to be able to prove you are an authorized user and if out of warranty a Fee may be involved.

Remove BIOS battery. Short BIOS jumper or leave the battery out for a long time(Over night,maybe) This should default the BIOS to having no pass word present.  If that doesn't work then evidently Dell has one within the BIOS . Just ask them.
