How do I completely wipe a syx-65Im03

Using your disk with the new OS on it; boot the PC using that disk, when you're going through the initial setup steps, you have the option to format the drive. Formatting the drive will wipe the hard drive clean and let you start over fresh.

Press F8 as it boots, that will give you access to the rescue/restore start up system; assuming it has not been deleted from your partition.

Systemax factory restore - how?

Tap F4 repeatedly to launch the recovery console on SystemMax Machines with the recovery partition still intact. Then you should be able to restore the machine to factory defaults without a CD.

Systemax Venture problems........

The installation of XP should take about an hour, if it is still hanging, I am thinking the hard drive got messed up when you had the poer outage.
If you don't have any utilities to check your hard drive I suggest you take it to your local computer repair shop and have them diagnose the problem.
Good Luck.

Pc does not go beyond Lsass.exe application error

Try getting into safe mode, by taping the f7 or f8 key before it boots. Once in safe mode we can do a restore to the last restore point, and go from there. If you can't get into safe mode, let me know and we will go into the bios, set the machine to boot from the dvd drive and use your xp disk to boot her up, this method id too much to post here, let me know and we will take it up only if needed. Also try this, turn off any user accounts that the computer has installed other than your administrator account, and let me know what happens

No Audio

Hello,

I have a friend with a systemax, same thing happened to him.

Go into the control panel, select sounds and audio devices, go over three tabs to the audio tab, make sure the sound default device is the onboard audio card. Should be all set.

Let me know how it works out.

Re: Need to do a factory restore

Hello:

REcovery discs can do the task by restoring it to the factory setting. you can insert it directly to the DVD/CD ROM and then boot the pc to the ROM. and the follow the onscreen instruction.

however; if you have recovery disk then you have to provide windows installation disk and install it to the your hard drive.

installation of windows information is found here:

may this help you.

Help

Check the manual if you have to use a Recovery Disc to restore your PC or if there is a short-cut that you will press when you booth your PC to restore it to factory settings because most PC's have these. If there is no recovery disc and a shortcut, reformatting it is the only way to restore your laptop to factory settings.
