SOURCE: Pioneer DJM-400 mixer turns on, but channels aren't working

could be a few things , what have you tried to trouble shoot the problem ?
My steps would be ;
check all leads (even if you KNOW u pluged them in)
check the gain is set corectly .
check the line phono slectors are set to what ever you have you leads pluged into on the back of the mixer ( there is 4 red and white RCA plugs , 2 for phono,2 for line CDJs shold be using line )
if you are using digital cables to conect your CDJs , on the back on the mixer there is a small switch marked "CD or digital" make sure that is sleceted "digital " . if ur not using digital cables make sure it is on "CD" .
the info iv put here is based on the DJM-800 so your mixer my not have some of these featers as iv never used a 400 . hope this helps dued . check out www.djtutor.com for more tricks and tips . Pratices'N'enjoy !

SOURCE: The right side on my pioneer DJM 600 (effects do not work)

Hiya,

If you are confident with opening up the mixer, do so, and check the ribbon cable which goes from the effects switch board to the main PCB in the middle of the unit. Check it is secure and hasn't come loose with movement or vibration. If it is all secure, and still not working, you will need to send it for repair to your local service centre / tech friend :)

Cheers

SOURCE: how to connect my qqualizer to my djm pioneer 400 mixer

Use the stereo master outs from the DJM into the A and B Inputs of the EQ (you'll need 2 phono to Jack or 2 phono to XLR cables) then from the A and B Outputs of the EQ to the power amp/ speakers, etc (you'll need jack or XLR cables depending on what is powereing your speakers)

This would not be a DIY repair. These are very complex to work on, as I worked for Pioneer in tech support and engineering. If you are interested in having your unit repaired, please look to my website, audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. Thank you.

Unusual fault on a 909, they are usually pretty reliable.
I'd 1st check if it is correctly wired - i.e CD into "line" level input and not "phono" or vise versa.

How do u take the back of the djm 909 mixer

This mixer (like all current Pioneer models) is built using "bucket" construction, i.e everything is installed from the top into the bottom case which has the four sides and bottom all pressed from a single piece of steel so what ever you need access to needs to removed from the top.

Hope this helps.

Yes. You need a new micro switch. I had to get both of mine replaced for the same reason.
