One option is to set the cross over to the sub so it knows when to send the low frequency to the sub and not the front speakers. 120 is a good setting. This can be done either via a know on the sub woofer or the setup screen of the main unit.

good luck

Remote fell into a glass of juice. how can I make it work again?

Well seeing as electronic parts dont like juice as much as we humans. You might be out of luck, and have to get a universal remote. BUT before u do that, open the remote, remove teh battery. And take the electronic cuircit board out. Get a kleenex, or coton ball or something, and soak it in alcohol (pure alcohol, and dont drink it... :)) then clean the board with it. both sides. also clean the ruber contacts on the botom side of the buttons.

Good luck

Does not play multichannel audio (5.1) input through optical digital audio

Hi try this.

in the dvd player make sure you just leave it default (bitstream) but in the home theater receiver don't select 5.1 b/c that will only give you a virtual 5.1 not a true 5.1. In fact don't select any sound field at all just select dolby digital or dts depending on the source of the movie then you should be ok.

The only other problem i can see is that hdmi sends both the sound and picture to the tv. You will need to see if there's a function on the dvd player to only send the picture via hdmi and the sound via the optical out of the dvd player.

good luck
