My Philips TV, 32 in LCD, model 32PFL3505D, makes an intermitent buzzing sound, mainly when there is text on the screen with a white background like on advertisements. What is the problem and can it be fixed?

Try changing the Video cables.

There is a capacitor in the power section that is failing. When it fails completely you wont be able to turn it on at all.

this sounds like a screen fault to me
try grabbing both sides of the tv and giving it a twist
this will either give you more lines or make ur lines go away if this happens u need a new screen

The code to try is 11454. It will work in a limited fashion. It will make the volume buttons usable. But to power on/off the tv, you will need to slide the top button from DirecTV to tv and then hit the power button.

That problem is cause of shorted bridge diode or power mosfet..

just see the picture below to see the image of bridge diode and power mosfet..



If you don't have a tools or you have no electronic background you only have to is order the new power supply board..

If you have a usb port on it, just check the Philips site, find a firmware and flash it to your TV. ?nstructions are written in the manual.

I think that you should return it to the store where you bought your tv it has a warranty. Do not attempt to open it or the warranty will be void. Good day and best regards

The main cause off buzzing from these sets is the transformers on the psu. This can be solved by sealing the transformers with a sealant spray.
