Ice Maker water keeps running

I have a Frigidaire PLHS269ZEDBZ and the ice maker continues to run.

This problem started when I turned off the ice maker because the ice bucket was full. When I turned it back on, the ice maker continues to run through the cycles. It will fill up the ice tray with water, then the ice maker will immediately run through another cycle and add more water. This process overfills the ice tray and water runs through the freezer and out the bottom of the door.

Any help?

Thanks.

Bad I/M, won't shut off after harvest and continues to restart cycle. Heater in I/M should warm up thermostat after first harvest and stop unit from recycling.

Frigidaire PLHS67EESB0 ice maker stopped not making ice and the ice ejector keeps turning and the machine keeps filing with water and overflows

If the ice ejector turns constantly, and water flows with each turn, you have a bad limit switch inside ice maker. This switch stops the motor inside, and thus the ejector, and allows for a freeze cycle. There are other possible problems but i suggest just getting a new ice maker. Not that hard to change out if you have any mechanical skills.

Frigidaire Superba Ice Maker not stopping making ice

-Turn the ice maker off. If still leaking and decide not to use the ice maker to make any more ice then unplug the
water valve that let water run to the ice tray. Only the one for the ice. Otherwise you will not have any water at all.

Good luck

It does sound as if you may need a new ice maker. Other than that does the compressor come on to keep the ice cold? If so is it making any type of noises beyond the typical hum?

Ice maker is not working.

Ice maker has built in thermostat that turns cycle on at around 10 degrees F. If freezer temp does not reach that point the ice maker will not cycle. So either the freezer is not cold enough or the thermostat is faulty.

Make sure that the ice maker motor that turns the cams and controls the various stages is also working.

ICE MAKER NOT WORKING PROPERLY. ICE WILL FREEZE

See if the fill tube is partially blocked with ice. It's the tube where the water comes into the ice maker.
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.

Ice maker over fill, water keeps running

If water keeps running to the ice maker all the time even when it doesn't call for water , the water valve for the ice maker is leaking(located in the back of the refrigerator, bottoom right),but if overflow only when it calls for water(no more than 7 seconds) the problem is in the ice maker control board, you can replace it but it will cost almost as a new ice maker.

Whirlpool ice maker

could be a problem with the ice maker itself or the water solenoid that controls the water.
the ice maker itself controls the solenoid. if there is a stuck contact, then water would continue to run.

if the solenoid has a leaky valve, water would still come in even there is no more power.

tnx 4 using fixya,
