Canon Laser Fax 9000 needed to replace toner, did so, and now the fax acts as though I did not change it and the alarm keeps going off, a few minutes after re-install. Should I unplug it?

Find the package that the toner came in. It will have directions inside on how to reset the toner alarm.

Paper jam 2 but no paper is stuck

Most printers/faxes need more than one or two sheets of paper in the hopper in order for printing to commence. If it's not that, take out all paper. Turn off the printer/fax. Wait five minutes and turn printer/fax back on. With some printers/faxes, that almost acts like a re-boot. Good luck!

My printer states "Check printer"

The "Check Printer" error can usually be cleared by unpluging the fax from the wall outlet, waiting a few minutes, and then plugging it back in. If the fax is connected to a UPS, or multioutlet strip, it is highly recommened to plug it directly into the AC wall outlet.

If the message stays in the display, try opening and closing all the access doors to the fax. If that still doesn't return the machine to operating properly, then you will probably need to take it to your service provider.
