I know for me...when I scan a document, a program pops up with options. Of course the program is provided by canon.

Try visiting the Canon website and download their scanner software.
Go here:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/scanners/canoscan_series/canoscan_lide_600f#DriversAndSoftware

Hope this helps :)

Hello
Actually you do have to select a program for working with photographs such as Photoshop, or Adobe Elements, maybe Microsoft Paint or Picasa maybe. Then your scanner will scan and the pictures will be saved and they'll be opened in the photo program you have chosen afterwards.

When I try to scan with my canonscan lide 70 I get a message "specify the program where the scanned image is transferred"

You just need to point the program to where the scanning program was installed. If you just let it auto-load it should be here: (assuming you loaded the free toolbox software)
C:\Program Files\Canon\CanoScan Toolbox Ver5.0\CSTBox.exe
or just look at where the toolbox is installed by searching for the CSTBox.exe file.

Hello my friend, you mean to scan a photo and save it on your folder?
If yes
  1. You run the application MP Navigator from your dekstop (or from Start, point to (All) Programs, Canon Utilities, then MP Navigator EX 1.0. Then click MP Navigator EX 1.0.)
  2. When the one-click mode screen has opened, click the Switch Mode button to switch to the navigation mode screen
  3. Point to Scan/Import and click Photos/Documents (Platen).
  4. Place the document face-down on the platen, and select Document Type.
  5. Click Specify... and set the preferences as required.
  6. Click Scan and it should start scanning
When scanning is completed, the Scan Complete dialog box opens. Select Scan or Exit. Select Scan to scan the next document, or select Exit to end.
When scanning is completed, the scanned image appears in the Thumbnail List area.
  7. Edit the scanned image as required.
  8. Click Save or Save as PDF file.If you choose just Save and box will appear to specify the destination folder, file name and file type(usually images are .jpeg .jpg ;) ).
  9. And click Save and your done.

Can you scan photos on the Epson DX6000 and save the image to the computor? If possible how do I go about it?

Hello,

Starting a Scan With EPSON Scan If you want to scan an image and save it directly to a file, you can start EPSON Scan as a “standalone” program.
step_1.gif Place your document or photo on the scanner. See Placing Documents or Photos for instructions.

step_2.gif Do one of the following to start EPSON Scan:

    Windows:
Double-click the EPSON Scan icon on your desktop.

Or select Start > All Programs or Programs > EPSON Scan > EPSON Scan.

    Mac OS X:
Open the Applications folder and click the EPSON Scan icon.

    The EPSON Scan window appears.
step_3.gif If the Mode setting in the upper right corner of the window is set to Full Auto Mode, click the Scan button. For instructions on selecting optional settings, see Using Full Auto Mode.

01.gif mark_no.gif Note: 01.gif 01.gif To change scan modes, see Changing the Scan Mode.
step_4.gif The File Save Settings window appears. For instructions on selecting options, see Selecting File Save Settings.

cj35003e.gif step_5.gif When you are finished selecting File Save Settings, click OK. EPSON Scan starts scanning in Full Auto Mode.

step_6.gif The scanned image is automatically saved in the specified location.

If the Open image folder after scanning checkbox is selected in the File Save Settings window, Windows Explorer or the Macintosh Finder automatically opens to the folder where the scanned image was saved.

Please follow this link for same manual with screenshots:

Lemark X1270 Error: Image Transferring Buffer Overflow

Hi,

Please follow the steps given below to scan a document:
1. Go to "Start," "All Programs," Lexmark printer, "Lexmark All-in-One Center."
To see how an image will look after it is scanned, click "Preview Now."
2. Click "Scan," "Send scanned image to".
If scanning an image, choose a graphics program such as "Lexmark Photo Editor," "MS Paint," etc.
If you wish to "Scan to OCR," choose a text program such as "MS Word," "WordPad," etc.

Problem using OCR with Canon MP610 all-in-one

I got this message too, before I installed an OCR program. It may be that you need to install one (or specify it, if you have one already). With my MP610, an installation disk was included that contained the OmniPage SE program for OCR. When I installed that on my computer, and told MP Navigator (another Canon-supplied program, that controls scanning) to use it as the "Open With" program for OCR, it worked.

Which program do i use to transfer the scanned image too?

Hi,

Sounds like the CanoScan is looking for a photo enhancing/utility program. Programs for this purpose are Adobe PhotoShop, PaintShop Pro, ACDSee, or even the simple Windows Paint.

Additionally, the CanoScan Toolbox might have a basic photo utility program. Normally basic photo utility programs like this are included in the CD installer of a scanner, a digicam or even most color printers.

Hope this be of some idea/help. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
