The F1 error code means that the control board has a detected a problem within the control itself and the control board would need to be replaced.
The part number for that control board is W10189966 it could be picked up at your local appliance parts store or online at; searspartsdirect.com apwagner.com partselect.com apdepot.com repairclinic.com
F40 = thermal fuse blown. If the fuse is OK the error points to a communication problem between the machine control board and motor control board (check connectors).

news for Oasis F-51 sufferers! Sears
will replace the electronic control board (the F51 prob) for free, in warranty
or not. Serial #s for the bad board are: CS48 - CS52 or CT01-CT49. Call Sears
at 800-847-9083.

The problem varies on amount of time ,because you may find that there just may be more than 1 person that got this model and its actually working.RED FLAG "control board issue".The time to get rid of the machine is when YOUR money is paying for this control board .
