Hi loveyou,

Can you provide some details about your setup? like the name of your ISP? if it's cable or dsl? brand/model or your modem and or router, and operating system of your computer (windows XP, vista, MAC)

you may want to start to check if you have properly connected your devices (cable used, port). If the connections are ok, check the LED lights and settings on your modem, router and computer (if you need to setup PPPoE on your router or computer if on DSL or do MAC registration or cloning for cable service.

Open control Panel and go to Network and Internet Connection.

Open it and select Network Connection

After that you see your networks , select and Right Click on it and go to Advance Tab

Click on that option , apply and ok

Now you can access internet on both laptops

If you have no wireless internet inside your house, then you can not get online.
However if you do, then go to the internet browser on the psp and try to search for google or some website. As it tries to connect hit the circle button to cancel the connection then it asks what connection to use. Select new connection and scan for your wireless internet. There may be a password, there may not. But go through everything. If you get through everything, you can have fun on the internet with the 4in. screen now. =D

If you connect the computer directly to the modem , it shopuld work.
If your computer is online when connected only to the modem then the problem must be router settings .

Look in Start - Connect to - Show all connections - If you have an Internet Gateway and the Internet connection shows disconnected - Double click the line and it will connect.

Now if I could only work out why it doesn't do this automatically ....

Also Use Internet Explorer to connect to which should allow you to log into the router directly and set the log on details and logon password.

a. Can you directly connect to the internet by connecting a computer to the device providing the internet?
If this is good, then do this for later. ( it may not be needed but is good to have)
go to 'Start' -> 'Run' ->CMD[Enter]
Now you have a DOS box.
type CD \[Enter]
type IPCONFIG /all > ipdata.txt[Enter]
This copies the working IP Config that may be needed later.
Now connect in this order Internet connection to WAN Connection of router
Then connect one of the the LAN Connections of the router to
the working computer.
Turn off everything for 15 min.
No I am not kidding. Technical reason: Clear the ARP Table back at the ISP.
Restart the router then the computer.
Still no internet?

What sort of internet(dial-up, adsl,) modem, Operating system etc. How did you "clear everything off" ? Some bugs are designed to use your internet, so it is not uncommon that you need to make a new connection after virus removal.
