Delta Model 470: Signature Kitchen Pull-Down/Out Faucet - White Logo
Posted on Jan 10, 2011

I have the model 470 signature pull-out Delta faucet in my kitchen sink. It was installed about 5 years ago. I can no longer rotate the faucet without applying an extreme amount of pressure. Is there a fix for this? Thank you. Christina Robinson

Contact Delta at 800-345-3358 and ask for replacement parts. With the lifetime warranty Delta customer service was awesome and sent out parts I needed to fix this same faucet.

Since you are replacing the Delta Faucet Delta 470-BL-DST Signature Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet With Spray faucet, bend the water supply lines out of the way, and then use a standard basin wrench to remove the nut.

Hi While I try to rotate the tap , the whole base is rotating with it ( delta 470 ss)

A "basin" wrench will be needed to get up under the sink/faucet base to tighten the nuts that hold the faucet in place. It's a simple job but requires the agility of a contortionist to get at.

My delta pullout kitchen faucet won't pull out anymore. I can push it out from under the sink.

Have someone pull it out slowly while you watch under the sink. The most likely problem is that the weight is getting caught on some other piece of plumbing or something else that was put in the cabinet. Moving things around a bit should clear the problem.

DELTA MODEL 470-WH LOW WATER FLOW AT KITCHEN FAUCET

This could be a couple of things.

  1. First remove the aerator from the wand and make sure you have plenty of flow with it off.
  2. If there is flow clean or replace the aerator.
  3. Remove the wand and look between the hose connection and the wand there should be a screen between them. Remove the screen and clean or replace.
  4. Make sure hose is kinking under the sink.
If you need a diagram of the faucet with part numbers here is the link:
