On the back of a CD-writer or a DVD-writer is a small grid (2 rows) of gold pins.
Each vertical set of pins is labelled: MA(ster), SL(ave), and C(able)S(elect).
Be sure that one drive has a small jumper between the MA pins,
and the other drive has a small jumper between the SL pins.
Was there any software on CD-ROM that came with the DVD-writer,
e.g., software to play DVDs, and software to write CDs and DVDs?
To "play" a DVD, you'll need that software.
To "play" a music CD, Windows Media Player will suffice.
im assuming you have a dvd player in your car as opposed to a regular cd player
you need to look in the manual of your car stereo and see what kind of discs it can read... there are dvd+r, dvd-r, dvd-wr, dvd-ram, dvd-r (dual layer), etc, etc....
make sure your using the correct format disc and also make sure when you burn the music that your burning them in a file format compatible with your stereo (wmv, mp3, etc) check the manual
from the model number that you gave it shows that you have a burner. try going to were the music folder is at and right clicking with your mouse on the music and hit the send to option then select your cd rom as a destination then it will burn it this way as well. also make sure you have cd-rw disc dvd-r disc will not work for this
1. Your laptop cd/dvd drive have what capability:
- cd writer = only burn cd
- cd writer/dvd reader(combo) = still only burn cd
- dvd writer = can burn cd, dvd single layer(4GB)
- dvd DL writer = can burn cd and dvd single 4GB and dual layer 8GB.
Other than those, is not possible.
2. Must have burn apps named:
- Nero
- Alcohol 120%
- other. search internet.
If you have them then using the apps to burn, just read the manual.
Koam114 is in Korean. I don't understand :)
But If you want songs from website, you should download it first.
Unless the site is giving you a step by step how to burn songs directly to your cd/dvd.
Once downloaded, would be easier to burn to cd/dvd.
Open your sound controls to make sure nothing is muted or set on low volume. If that's not the case, open your audio drivers program and check to see if nothing is muted.
Are you sure your player has got the right codecs to play both audio and video of the DVD you have burnt?
PS: Try installing the Ace Mega Codecs Pack just to make sure you have all the codecs. (Remember though that this software will install all the required codecs as well as the unneeded ones...the ones maybe required in the future probably)
