Hello there how can i reset my korg kaossilator pro please help i cant get it back to factory settings

Hello, You may want to reset your machine, all data and pre loaded programs, for this you must turn on your M50 press the global mode button, click on the top arrow next to (basic) select option 2, load pre-preloaded demo data, you then choose all (PCG and demo songs). press OK. Your Korg will re install all factory samples, data and settings. Once completed It will then instruct you to turn off your machine. give it a minute or so to self upgrade before turning it back on, once you turn it back on you should see updating panel notifications right and left, you should be able to use all of the sounds and combi's available for M50. that's a factory reset. 1) Check to make sure the SD card itself does not have the protect switch in Locked position. There is a physical locator as you had with floppy disks to prevent erasure.

If they are not locked, the tab switch that contacts the tab when it is not locked may be dirty, bent or broken. A visual check in the slot can tell you if there is damage.

After updating the firmware, you likely must do a factory reset. This is probably required so the keyboard will read and decide how much ram actually exists. At this site do the "factory reset" version:
