Hi there I have a Samsung Intellect SW65ASP top loader that stops at the spin cycle but sounds like a broken childs play gun? Sorry the best I can explain it, it washes - turns on and off but won't spin or drain? Please help!!

It is done on purpose as a 'safety feature' after a child had his arm torn off playing with it on spin cycle. Lid was up, safety catch was missing or broken.
top loader ??? or front loader??? if top loader you have broken your lid switch, will fill, agitate, but when it comes to drain/spin for safety reasons if the unit doent recognize the lid closed it will not advance...if yo have a front loader then i would suspect that something has gotten into the pump assy and preventing drainiing of water therefore will not spin
