Screen is blank, it wont come up nor display anything but the power button works.

try holding down power button for thirty seconds on laptop.
once you think it is off remove power lead and remove battery.
place battery back in and power cord
Try pressing power button on laptop
see if anything is displayed on screen at power up
see if operating system loads correctly
suspect laptop locked up and needing a full shutdown

Try a restart first, you may have to hold down the power button for 15 seconds then power it back up OR unplug and pull the battery. On the restart does anything show up on the screen?

Switch off the unit at the isolator or fuse box. Leave off for 10 mins to reset. When powering up again and it still wont work, check your remote control batteries are good. Also confirm you haven't "blanked out" the display. Some controls have a display or LED function which blanks out the display so that the lights are not bright at night time. (For bedrooms so that the light doesn't keep you awake) Also check that you have not pressed a "child lockout button" This will stop anything ..

Turn off notebook. Remove the battery. Press Power button. Notebook should start working. Wait for 15 secs. If the screen still blank press Power button and hold it for approx. 4 seconds until notebook is powered off. Then press power button again. Bingo, problem should be solved.

Pull the battery out and let it sit for 2 minutes,reinstall the battery,if that doesnt work save your recordings,and then format the recorder.If still no success,send it in to olympus for service

Sadly, most digital cameras don't have a reset button like it older more reliable elders. But, most digital cameras have a "menu" button or a "review" button. If either of these are still working and can be seen on the display screen then your problem lies within the lense or digital shutter. If you can't see anything at all, even the "Menu" or "review" your problem is much more extensive. If so, you can NOT fix this yourself without ruining it more.
I can say that most of the camera shops can refurbish it for you for a lower price. Or you can purchase and already refurbished camera for about half have you paid for the new one.

I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback as well.

I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito, Ecuador)

turn on ps3 leave on stand by (red light), hold eject button and power button until you hear beeps and a message appears. connect controller and press ps button. system restore screen should appear, select restart system and from there it should restore everything back to normal. Try using a different battery. If that doesn't work, phone's IC must be damaged. Get the phone checked from a Nokia service centre.
