System Initializing Problem

Someone has posted the same problem but there wasn't a solution for it. I have an H10 iriver and it's been working fine. I was just syncing music onto it from my computer and when I unhooked it, it frooze. I reset it, then it started up, but it stays on the 'system initializing, please wait...' screen forever! I've tried charging the battery and hitting the reset button numerous times but nothing works. Please help me! system not initialing

I do have the same problem. I was transfering songs to my mp3 player and the computer froze. When I rebooted my computer the mp3 player wouldn't respond so I turned it off and restarted it and now all that appears is the same message you have. I pushed the reset button several times but nothing seems to work not even charging it. Can anyone help?

I'm having the same problem. I've had mine for more than a year and for the first time, it's giving me a serious problem. I was syncing some files last night through Windows Media Player. Well, I usually stop it because it will sync everything that I may have deleted. I stopped the sync after a while and unplugged my play. No my screen reads "System Intializing...Please Wait" with the clock going and after a while (or when the battery dies) it powers off. I've read where I needed to upgrade the firmware but I am unable to connect to my PC because I can't get past this message. OH, LET THERE BE A SOLUTION!

I synced my iRiver H10 completely and then did a database refresh, as i always do after a full sync. Did this last nite and found the database was still refreshing when I checked this morning. Tried resetting but now I'm stuck on the 'system initializing please wait' screen.

Same problem with mine...i tried to use rockbock firmware...it works but you have to be patient...you have to reset it time and time again before it works....it still works anyways rather than the iriver firmware...

System Initializing Problem

I had the same problem. Solution 2: Running EasyH10 from Sourceforge.net worked. To add to the solution you must run the mp3 player in Emergency mode (reset device, hold power button and button with circle on it, enter button I think). Let computer detect the H10, then run the software. At the bottom of the EasyH10 screen, select model/firmware and device location letter (i.e E:\). Click OK. The screen will display info about the device and run through the database of music. Once complete your device should work like new now.
