My axim x51v won't sync to my computer. The axim is in the cradle but the toshiba laptop doesn't see other than to try and sync it to the windows media center as though its an mp3 player. I have not sync'd the two together and I can't figure out how to get the toshiba and activesync software to recognise that the axim is connected to the pc and to sync with it.

Guys it's probably down other sync software on your system like phone sync, I had the same problem yesterday, sometime ago I had installed software for my HTC phone, check in add/remove programs & uninstall anything that sync with your computer, then reinstall activesync.
windows vista uses its own sync software, which is available on the windows marketplace
if your vista is original you can upgrade to this software
if you use xp version, just keep using the usual active sync
Thats an easy one, simply uninstall your active sync reboot with axim of cradle then install newest version here :

Does your system detect the handheld? After you connect the cradle or cable to the computer, then you should be prompted to install drivers for the handheld. Make sure that Dell Pocket PC appears in the Device Manager.
