My PSP home and select buttton does not works???

the buttons are stuck take it apart and clean them and if that does not work buy replacement buttons from ebay or amazon

First you need a wireless connection, like a wireless router. If you have that, move left on the home screen until you get to Settings, then down until you get to network Settings. Select Infrastructure Mode. Select New Connection. Name the connection, and press scan. Once if finds the network, connect to it, and now you can get internet by going all the way to the left on the psp home screen and selecting internet browser.

try going to a sony shop and asking the staff!

OK here, I'll go through all steps to get to use the net on ya PSP!

PSP on...? Check...
WLAN switch on & working properly? Check...

Now...

go to Network > Enter Internet Browser > You probably don't have your net on 'Auto-Select' or have set a 'Home Page Setting', so enter a URL in the Address Bar > it'll then come up with 'Network Connection', 'Select connection', enter '[New Connection]' > 'WLAN Settings', enter Scan, probably the easiest for you > 'Select the access point to be used'. Select your home access point > 'SSID', name correct?, press right arrow button to continue > 'WLAN Security Setting'. Select the correct one if incorrect. If you need a PW for your connection, WEP, WPA Key, then enter it, if not, enter None > 'Address Settings', enter Custom > 'IP Address Setting', enter Automatic > 'DNS Setting', Automatic > 'Proxy Server', don't think you need that!, enter Do Not Use > 'Internet Browser', Start > 'Enter the connection name.', name it what you what it to be > 'Setting List', scroll through to see if everything's correct > 'Press the O/X button to save settings.' > Now it'll appear on the 'Select connection' page again. This time, click on your home connection... DONE!

- I suggest you to save say Google as your Home Page, so it'll be more convenient for you on the future! Tools > Settings > Home Page Settings > type in a URL that you want as your Home Page!
- PSP net have very little net memory, so to save some memory, go to Tools > Settings > View Settings > Conserve Memory On.

When this happens, it's because the home button on the inside is jammed. Usually it's because it's dirty or sticky and sticks down [or presses itself]. You can try opening it and cleaning under the home button. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the home/volume/start/select circuit ribbon cable. 1. Connect the PSP to your PC with a USB cable. (about $10: buy a USB cable for your PSP)
2. Press the "home" button on the PSP (it's a tiny button to the lower left of the screen) then use the left-right directional buttons to find "Settings", then the up-down buttons to find "USB Connection" on the PSP.
3. Press the "X" button (you got it, the round button with the "X" on it) and your PSP should display "USB Connection".
4. In a moment or two your computer should tell you that a new USB device has been connected, then show you a new generic hard drive, usually E: or F:
5. Click on the drive letter that corresponds to the PSP unit.
6. Now create a new folder on that drive and name it "psp".
7. Within the new "psp" folder create another folder, and name it "music".
8. Copy your desired mp3 files into the new "music" folder.
9. When you're done copying your desired music tracks, press the "O" button on the PSP to get out of USB connect mode.

If it was plain water (and not salt water) then leftover moisture/condensation may be causing the problem. Try this... it sounds really wacky but it often works: put your PSP in a box full of uncooked rice, completely covering the PSP on all sides. Leave it in the rice for a good 12-24 hours. The rice wicks away the moisture inside sensitive electronics.

Acutally is not like R=hold, the fact is, your R button is more likely to be semi-automatic or fully automatic now. Even on a fully working psp, when you press select or home button while you holding the L button or R button, the same thing will appear as your own psp.

Let you know a temporary solution, hold the R or L button or both firmly for a minute, your psp might come back to normal for a few seconds or something.

Look for some professional repair service to get your L or R repaired.

Then 1 select the world symbol in network settings , this is in the toolbox picture in the home menu. press "x" 2 select infrastructure mode" press "x" select "new Connection" 3 enter a name for teh connection 4 set the ssid for the access point {determined by your wireless security you created" 5 select your address settings "easy is the best" 6 check settings 7 save the connection 8 test it.
