Light cover/Dish for ceiling fan

I bought 3 aloha ceiling fans (model # 99328) and just installed them. The frosted dish for the light on one of them broke and am in need of a replacement dish. Can I order the part I need or will I have to buy a whole new fan to get that piece?

I just purchased an Aloha Breeze model 99328 celling fan and there are no instruction how to install it. Can you help?

Apparently, missing installation instructions are the norm for Aloha Breeze ceiling fans. In the past, I have recommended contacting the place you purchased it. Walmart, K-Mart and Target sell this brand and should be able to provide you with a copy of the installation manual. Even if they have to copy one from another unopened box. Be calmly persistent and you'll get results.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Question about light bulb problem in ceiling fan

Check wiring @ ceiling. Should b a black, white, green & red wire coming frm fan. Green is ground. Black & Red is power. White is neutral. Black provides power to fan, red provides lat power 4 lights. Remove light assembly, blue wire provides power. B sure 2 turn off power 2 fan b 4 working on it w/switch & breaker. Maybe lose wire connection or pinched wire grounding out. Fans require vibration proof bulbs regular bulb elements will break after short time use. Fan bulbs have larger filiments inside bulb.

Light bulbs burn out

Use bulbs specifically designed for ceiling fans - they say "ceiling fan" on the package (Home Depot, Lowes both carry). The slightest regular vibration (like a fan rotating) causes normal incandescent elements to burn out within days or weeks.

If you wired black to black, white to white and green or bare to ground, you wired it right. Sometimes there are two blacks (hots) one for the light and one for the fan, but most of the time you hook the light wiring parallel to the fan wiring unless you install a remote switch.

Aloha breeze 52 white ceiling fan

Is there something specific you need to know?

Kill power at the breaker for saftey. Mount the bracket to the ceiling first. there should be a small hook on the ceiling bracket that you can hang the fan motor from while you do the wiring.

The blue wire and black wire on the fan should both be connected to the black wire in your house wiring. Attach the fan blades to the motor once it is in place.
