I have a Dacor ECD230SCH double wall over. The top oven is very slow to come up to temperature. I recently used the self-cleaning feature on this oven, but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it. The lower over heats up considerably faster. How can this be fixed?

SOURCE: Jenn Aire double wall oven

Get a long thin flat blade screwdriver. Gently pull the probe with one hand and press on the back side of the probe connector with the screwdriver until you feel no slack in the wires. Don't pull too hard! Rotate the blade of the screwdriver until the connector lines up with the opening and puill it through. Works for installing the new one too.

SOURCE: bottom oven of dacor double oven

I found the lower circuit breaker had been tripped. That didn't fix the problem but upon further inspection whoever had worked on the unit years ago had dropped a screwdriver that had lodged between the oven wall and the rear casing and shorted out the lower heating element. I removed the screwdriver and oven works fine now. I don't think that will solve the cmmclow problem but maybee the curcuit breaker is tripped.

SOURCE: My Dacor ECD230 stopped heating???

The high limit switch has tripped on this unit. Remove the vent panel behind the door and there will be a button in there behind the wires. Press this button with the circuit breaker turned off and that will rectify the problem. You still might need a servicer out to take a look at the unit though

You probably tripped a safety thermostat in the back of each oven. If you turn off the breaker and find a way to pull the units out you could probably remove the rear panel and reset the thermostat by pushing in a button on the back of the open thermo. Some thermo's aren't resettable though so you'd have to buy a replacement.

No heat on convection or self clean

If you have been using the self clean feature, you have probably burned out or damaged the connections to the fan and the convection fan element or thermistor. NEVER EVER use the self clean feature.

I have GE model#JKP45WOP2WG double oven wall unit. Lower oven isn't heating up properly. Bottom of lower oven doesn't seem as hot as the top of the oven... replaced oven sensor, not

Most double wall ovens are technically two separate oven boxes. The lower oven box has its bake, boil elements, high limit thermostat and ofcourse its own oven sensor. If the lower oven box boil is working good and less heat on bake feature may suggest that the bake element is burned out and only getting preheated with boil element. Just a suggestion here

Google searches report that after running the self cleaning cycle this can happen. I am experiencing this issue with my Fisher&Paykel AeroTech Double OD302 but with the BOTTOM oven. I'm concerned as Thanksgiving is coming up and I need this baby working!
