Please check the internet settings of the Lan connection in the Mac Book. May be there is IP Address or DNS settings is installed in your Mac Book which are stopping the wireless network services. Please check the IPV4 settings in the Lan or wireless connection properties.

Can't connect to the internet through wireless on my daughter's acer laptop

Your daughter's wireless card in her laptop needs to be configured with the router's wireless settings eg. the SSID and encryption key
The encryption key in your wireless router, without this key the wireless router won't allow the laptop to connect to this wireless router.
The WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the encryption key. Then go to your laptop's wireless card and configure it with the router's SSID and encryption key, so it will then connect to the wireless router and the Internet.

ACER AS5738-6444 Notebook cannot see my wifi router?

The wireless card in the notebook needs to be configured with the Netgear's wireless settings ie. SSID, WPA encryption etc.

How do i set up internet connection for my acer laptop after resetting to factory settings

Hi.
Check your Device Manager if your internet driver is installed. If it appears yellow (?) in the internet folder, your CD that goes with your unit can install that. If you try intalling that, open an internet explorer if it doesn't try Mozilla.
Second try to open start menu and click all connections. Click wireless portion and set to IP properties that will automatically detect IP address.
Set to enable... Then browse... Enjoy...

you need a wireless router to connect via router. just put your internet/broadband/modem cable in WAN port. and then you'll be able to connect via wireless.

Acer 6930 wireless won't connect anymore.

Hi acording your describle, you need do
1) please check the bios first, to set wireless to enable
2) check windows right buttom bar is there a wireless icon show there and click to see any detect wireless signal, if nothing to detect
3) check or compare to other laptop wireless configuration, check any incorrect setting.
4) if all sense ok, you need check the wireless card and wireless antenna wire connection, open a samll cover at back of laptop, there is a MINI PCI slot with a wireless card, take out and clean the card pins then put back.
5) still trouble please change another wireless card (same model)
it should be fix.

Do you get an error message?
Can you connect with an ethernet cable?
Do you see the wireless icon in the system tray?
Have you used any encryption?
Is your wireless turned on?
These devices tend to be pretty fool proof. It might benefit you to start over, paying careful attention to the instructions, which can be confusing.

Click - Start - Control Panel - Network and Internet Connections

Find and click on -
Set up a wireless network for a home or small office

Click Next in the new window and Follow the on screen instructions to set up a new wireless network.

Fairly simple from here.
