To get the GPRS setting please call your service provider(idea customer care).
They will send you the GPRS setting.After you receive please save the settings to your
phone and make it as default setting.
You can start using this service

I think you are asking for the phone settings for airtel gprs. Sinceyou haven't mentioned whether you want for airtel live or mobileoffice, i've provided you both.
Airtel live:
Connection Name> Airtel Live
Data bearer>gprs

User Name/Password>(leave blank)
Authentication>Normal

It is happening because it dont supported automatic settings you have to configure your phone manually. Just call the idea technical support and ask for manual settings they will help on call. I suggest you that call from another idea number as in some motorola handsets you will not able to go to main menu when you are on call.

GPRS is an cellular technology so the only reason why this would be posted in PC Desktops would be if you have cellular adapter on your PC. Therefore, you should contact your cellular provider. The are the best source for finding out what the best GPRS settings are for their specific network.

sir please call to the idea simcard customer care and say the cellphone model number.and the phonenumber then they will send the gprs settings to your cellphone save the settings and switch off your cellphone and again switch on.then connect the data cable from phone to the computer for connecting the internet...........

My phone keeps saying there is aproblem connecting to gprs service in your registered home network
All phones need APN setting to make them work for gprs or data functions.
You can find the settings from your network operator and then you can follow this video guide on how to enter APN settings in any HTC phone.
This is a tutorial on how to add APN settings to HTC phones for your network providers. Example phone used is a HTC Hero but process is same for all HTC models.
APN and Data Settings Change for HTC Phones
  1. Go to settings -> wireless controls

in some sim card its preactivated gprs sevice available
you just hv to choose the correct access point.

for example : if you are using 'Idea Cellular' then the correct access point for gprs is 'IDEA INTERNET or IDEA FRESH ' you can check these settings by going WEB/SETTINGS.
IF ITS NOT PREACTIVATED THEN
just call your sim card service provider (customer care )
and ask them to activate gprs and mms service on your number

after getting activation

then on your mobile phone to to menu/web
now your can access any site on your mobile

and about mms it easy to use its just like using sms
