Stopped working I have used my punch 300S for 6x9 loudspeakers in my car lately, and it has worked fine. Yesterday I tried it on 2 subwoofers RF punch HE 10" and there is no sound at all. The LED on the amplifier is on, and everything seems to be ok. I have used this amplifier on these subwoofers before without any problem. I have opened the amplifier, and nothing seems to be burned/broken. I did one mistake when connecting the amplifier, I connected ground on the amplifiers + input, but i discovered it before connecting + on the amplifiers ground input. I have also tried an other amplifier, and it works well, so the CDplayer output and signalcable are ok. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Clarify for me please.... Have you tried connecting this amplifier back on the 6x9's? If so what was the result?

Does the amp work if you switch back to the 6x9's?

Either your amp is blown which it very well could be. or your just hooking something up wrong in the wiring. make sure ur battery wire and small blue amp wire are secure with a good ground

The bass in my Sony 3-way 6X9 speakers wont work

if these speakers are several years old, chances are that the left one is just blown. could be a loose wire, but if not, it would be cheaper to get new speakers than to get that one fixed

Why does my 6x9 amp drop or not let the sound play at all when my subs are on? it just started to happen? they worked together fine before. i turn the subs off and the 6x9 work? but when i turn the subs on...

You probably have too much hooked up for the size of your power supply which is presumably a small car battery. You either need to get:

A) New, better bigger battery.
B) Capacitor in series with battery.
C) Both of the above.

Punch p1 10" not working

I had the same issue with 2 Punch p1's. The wire stripping was most likely cut where the wires are saddled against 2 bare metal "C" shaped tabs before going toward the cone and coil. This was causing the wire to ground out. I cut both wires and **** connected them and bypassed the factory bracket. They work fine now. This is a poor desogn from Rockford and I can see where it might happen numerous times.

Blown 6x9 subwoofer???

Any speaker will work. It's better if you put in the same kind, but if it's just a stock system it shouldn't matter.

No power

hi, some car amps need a high current remote supply to turn on. first make sure that you are using the proper gauge b+ and gnd cable for this particular rockford amp. then try switching the remtote turn on to this amp thru a simple Relay.(use the remote supply from your headunit as a trigger for the relay). do these connections without connecting any spks or rca line inputs. once amp is switching on then connect all other cables. OR lastly check the main fuse on the RF amp?? cheers

AMP WON'T WORK POWER SUPPLY?

that big coil of wires ytou described is the transformer for the switching power supply. Sounds like you over heated it and blew out the supply or the output section. From what you described you should take or send this unit into be serviced as there are no user serviceable parts in this unit except a fudse maybe and if thats blown theres more problems as thats there ( the fuse) just so the whole bloody thing dosent burn up your car! Good Luck
