I have a 3600 that worked perfectly until i hit the "UPDATER" icon at Garmins suggestion, it fried something but the screen and the rest of the unit are in great shape........ I could not shut the unit off so I took the batter out, the screen is fine, if anyone want it for 40 bucks, drop me a line......... [email protected]
You can get City Navigator 2008 CD from your local Garmin dealer. Cost around $100. It updates via MapSource program and USB connection to IQue 3600. Do not get "NT" maps as 3600 does not understand "NT" compression
Battery can be replace for around $14 (look at eBay and search for "battery ique 3600" See this video for insrtuctions: http://www.viewdo.com/now_viewing.php?id=205
The best solution, in my opinion, is to buy a unit being sold for parts or repair (making sure that the LCD display was working) and do the replacement that way.
That's what I'm doing because when I write with my stylus it doesn't recognize what I write.
Go to my computer, right click -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager.
Locate your IQUE 3600, or Palm.
Now, if your palm has a Yellow Exclamation mark on it, that means that your computer is not recognizing the Palm. Select Driver details. Re-install the driver off the "Setup CD" that came with your IQUE 3600.
