Hello, I just switched a merchant using an Omni 3730 and now whenever you run a transaction, the terminal says "Connect Fail". Once you press the red X key and run the transaction again, it goes through just fine. We have the machine plugged in directly to the wall, we have tried commas in front of the auth number, redownloaded the machine multiple times and still the problem persists. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Tony

Try reducing the speed or reducing the stack size.

(you may have to cut and paste it into your browser's address bar). Go to page 7 and look under the EDIT funciton. I think that's what you're looking for.

The "RTC chip" is an integrated circuit that provides the R(eal) T(ime) C(lock) functionality. If your device cannot keep the correct date & time, it's time to replace it.

To reboot, turn the device off, and then remove the battery.
Wait 60 seconds, reinsert the battery, and turn the device on.

Normally this will mean you have to replace the terminal.
but first see if it will reboot.
1 unplug the power supply from the side of the terminal. Wait 60 seconds and plug the power back in.
2. press the F3 button this should take you to the main screen you use for transactions. press sale and run a card to test. if it works you have successfully rebooted.
if not.....
3. press F2/F4 at the same time and release them. you should be prompted for a password-
4 1 alpha alpha (located above the #2 key) 66831 then press the green enter key
5. select the F key next to Start- if start is not displayed on screen press the purple more key which is located to the far left.
after you press the F key next to start- it should reboot your machine- it takes a few minutes of seeing words flash on the screen. once you are on the default screen choose the F3 key and it should take you to the main screen where you perform transactions.
if you can not do these two things to get a reboot on your terminal you will need to call your merchant service provider and ask about getting a replacement. remind your merchant service provider if you have transactions in the terminal that did not get sent to the bank you will need them to either force them to go through or provide you with the card # information so you can enter these transactions in your new terminal.

Just called merchant services for the same problem... The hot key to lock/unlock is 7 or 8, you enter the password, it will then give you the option to lock, select no and the keyboard will unlock.

This is done through direct communication from the merchant or the busines where you first got this from you will need to ring up verifone and ask them directly for the manual and codes

Can verifone vx510 (Omni 3730 work on a digital line?

It's really hit or miss. Some days they will work, some days they will not. You will only really run into a problem when your doing downloads or batching the terminal out. You will sometimes have problems running cards, but make sure you hit the reports key if you get a disconnect to make sure the transaction didn't go through already before running the card again.

Ensure thermal paper is being fed from underneath the roll, as it will only print on one side of the paper. hope this help

Yes he is somewhat correct. At the main sale screen hit the option 6 usually the password is 1 Alpha Alpha 66831 if it gets you to the Terminal Phone COMMs screen it is good. Choose phone then next and choose PBX code that is what needs to be dialed out from your phone system to get an outside line IE: 9,,8,... once that is edited choose enter then exit if that doesnt work at teh main screen hit the more key or the tip key until you see other setup then the password again. 1 ALPHA ALPHA 66831 hit the tip or more key again until you see COMMS. Select it then hit next until you see baud rate hit edit and that field and then next until you see 300 hit enter then exit save changes hit ok then the red X key to get back to the sale screen try that.

Other fixes as well but it needs phone conversation.

BECOME the loyalty card processor

There are two parts to this problem: 1) actually processing transactions, and 2) all the cards "out in the wild".
Prairie Trail Software sells host software that can process the transactions for you. It would be a custom solution.
However to get the data on all those existing cards will be the problem. You will need to get reports from your current processor that give you all the data about those cards in the wild. If you can not get those reports, then you are not able to transfer all those existing cards (and histories and account balances). In that case, you would need to replace those cards and run side by side until you can get most of them replaced.

Verifone omni 3700 series

You have to have it turned on that option in the download for a customer copy to print. Contact your Merchant Account provider and ask for this to be turned on and you will have to do a partial download.
