If you are saying D drive is your CD/VDVD drive? If you are installing from CD/DVD drive then suddenly stop the installation/setup/loading you must check your disc drive. To check your cd/dvd drive insert a cd or dvd cleaner and start cleaning most of the cleaner has a movie inside of the disc and run for about 10 minutes. Then try again installing/setup/loading the program to your computer. If its still the same, replace your CD/DVD drive with a new cd/dvd drive because your cd/dvd drive is need to be replace. Have a nice day
It may be a conflict with another program. Roxio is a little tempramental about other software.
You can try another Burning software to check the drive is not faulty.
You can try a free program like IMGburn.
If that program works i would uninstall roxio, run a registry cleaner. I like CC cleaner's built in registry cleaner.
Then re install roxio and check the roxio site for any updates
Run sytem tools and do a disc cleanup. Then run a disk defragment. Also keep up with the cleaning of unnecessary files such as deleting browsing history etc. I recommend CCleaner - it even has a registry cleaner that is very safe and effective. it is a freeware program and works great. Also try running Malwarebytes, that removes adware spyware (again its freeware) as that could be slowing you down.
Try running disc clean up and then defragmenting the drive. Click start, all programs, accessories, disc clean up. Select drive "c" and run the cleaner, may take a while, and try not to delete compress old files. Then when that is done , start, all programs, accessories, disc defragmentor. Defragment drive "c". shut down and reboot you should see some improvement, depending on start up programs etc.
Shut it down anyway and immediately turn it ack on and do a thourough cleanup. update your virus control and run it> go to Tools (at top) of screen and then internet options and clear your history and cookies>go to all programs> accessories>system tools.clean disc and do that little chore.. If you have a registry cleaner program run that also. When you are all finished try shutting the computer down again, This time if it doesnt work, go and ahead and shut it off anyway and turn it back on and do a defrag (same place as clean disc. Good luck and let me know..
