Hi mcniester,

If you need to install Ti Connect software, goto the paragraph (1) below. If you do not need to install Ti Connect software goto the paragraph (2), "Procedure to installing the newest Ti 84 Plus OS 2.35v."

1). You can get the latest copy of Ti Connect software by going to the Texas Instruments web site. You can get to that site instantly by clicking, "Ti Connect software" At this Ti site under "View: Connectivity Software", Click, "the OS link that applies to your computers operating system". Next, click the Download Item, "Ti Connect software for ....OS". Next you can login or, click "continue as guest". I'd would click the "continue as guest". Once you have click, "continue as guest" the Ti Connect software for ....OS will be download to you. Click, "OPEN" and the software will start installing. You will have to click "Next" a few times but, it install pretty fast. Once the Ti connect software has successfully installed follow the instructions to the

2). You can also get the latest copy of Ti84 Plus 2.35v OS and guidebook by going to the Texas Instruments web site. You can get to that site instantly by clicking, "Ti 84 Plus 2.35v. OS!" Once your at the Ti site click the Download Item, "Ti84 Plus family operating system". Next you can login or, click "continue as guest". I'd would click the "continue as guest". Once you have click, "continue as guest" the Ti84 Plus family operating system download to you. Click "SAVE" And then a folder will pop up. It is probably a folder that you download too. If so, you may want to change it and, save to this folder, "My Documents \ My TI Data \ Downloads". You can also go back and, download the Ti 84 Plus guidebook too, if needed.

Link your computer and calculator with the USB cable or Direct Black Link cable that came with the calculator. Next, drag the Ti 84 Plus OS 2.35v that you copied to "My Documents \ My TI Data \ Downloads" out of that folder and, drop it in the "Ti connect" icon on the desktop. Click, "Continue" and, the new Ti 84 Plus OS 2.35v will begin to install. The Ti Device window may pop up and, click on to the port your Ti 84 Plus is using, USB1 cable or Direct Black COM1. Just click, "Select" and, the OS will continue to download. Upon completion the newest Ti 84 Plus OS 2.35v will be installed.

Texas Instruments has just came out with Ti 84 Plus OS 2.55. You can still use my instructions and, link on this posting to get there and download it. If you suspect that the Ti OS Downloader isn't giving you the updated OS, just follow my Procedure 2 to get the Ti 84 Plus newest OS 2.55v. If you are using Windows 7 and, having trouble installing and connecting through Ti Connect go to this linkhttp://www.fixya.com/support/t7610505-ju... and follow Procedure 3. Also if you have the SilverLink cable it works just like the USB and you can follow my instructions here too.

When i turn my calculator on it says "RAM cleared". It is then very slow . . . what is wrong and how can I fix it?

Hi yeager anna,

Since the calculator operates slowly even after the RAM has been cleared, I'd say, "Your OS must be corrupt." You need to re-install the Ti 84 Plus OS, ASAP!!! You can fix this problem by installing the newest Ti 84 Plus 2.55v. MP OS, operating system. Use fresh batteries when installing the new OS. If you need additional instructions your welcome to read my Ti 84 Plus solutions. I pretty much tell how you can install the new OS with another Ti 84 Plus calculator or, connecting the computer to the calculator to install the new OS. You can view my solution to install OS by clicking, "Ti 84 Plus OS installation." Just stroll down to oneplusgh's solution at that posting and, I cover a lot of topics you may need advice on to install the new OS.

If you need instructions to downloading and installing TI Connect on a XP or, Mac computer click, "TI Connect on a XP or Mac computer." I realize this posting was for a later OS but, this link will take you to the latest TI Connect software and, newest OS too. Once you get the TI Connect software installed come back to this posting and, follow the instructions above at "Ti 84 Plus OS installation."

If you need instructions to downloading and installing TI Connect on a Windows 7 computer click, "TI Connect on a Windows 7 computer." Just follow Procedure 3. You can also get instructions at this link on how to install the Ti driver to link computer and calculator. I realize this link instructions were for a Ti 89 calculator but, they will work for a Ti 84 Plus too. Once you get the TI Connect software installed come back to this posting and, follow the instructions above at "Ti 84 Plus OS installation."

My instructions is geared to save you a lot of hardship. No matter if your having to install Ti Connect or, the newest OS for your calculator. I do not use TI OSDownloader because, TI OSDownloader might not give you the newest OS for your calculator. My instructions will. If you have any questions just post a comment and, I'll respond quickly.

Bluescreen is appearing after installing the os

Usual reason for blue screen after OS install is corrupted OS. It might have missed a file while installing or cd had a smudge or scratch on it. It rare occasions it can be hard drive it self. I would try to reload the OS but make sure CD is clean of dirt and scratches. Most times this will resolve issue. Also if you are installing higher version of OS on a pc that had Hardware that does not support new OS version. Like going from XP to Windows Vista or Windows 7. Sometimes you just cant upgrade even by doing new install since not all computer hardware is compatible with new OS. Some manufactures do this so you have to by new computer in order to get new Windows version. Hope this helps.

Bluetooth device not working after windows got reinstalled

What is the old OS and the new OS of your computer? If you upgraded your system, there's a possibility that your Blyetooth device was not supported by your new OS.

Or, you might need to download a new driver that would support your new OS.

Byt if you are running the same OS, try to download the driver from the Internet and reinstall the Bluetooth driver.

Have a great day!

Cannot install OS X

When installing a system on the computer, you must have the original disks for the computer or a new OS X 10.5 Leopard if you meet the minimum specs.

Your Mac won't take a system higher than the one that came with it, unless it is a new 10.5 disk.
