Epson Stylus Photo 1400 Printer Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jan 06, 2011

I have an epson 1400 in which a job was spooled. It would not print because a print cartridge needed to be replaced. So I canceled the job, then replaced the print cartridges. Now it says the printer is busy, the Green light is flashing, the red ink light is solid. It still has not acknowledged the ink cartridges.

Hello, my Epson stylus photo 1410 prints when I select normal print quality, however, when I select best print quality, it will pick the paper but will not print. Kindly help

If your Epson Stylus Photo 1400 has any problems, see these sections for solutions: ... The printer is receiving a print job, replacing an ink cartridge, charging ink, or cleaning ... If you're printing on a CD or DVD, the CD/DVD tray has not ejected. ... Select a higher Quality Option or Print Quality and turn off High Speed mode.

Epson troubleshooting

What you have I highly suspect is a highly clogged print head. Even if you continue to clean your print head you will use ink to do it, so you will be spending a lot of ink and trust me it wont fix the problem. I have two epsons 1400 and had the same problem and used cleaning solutions but at the end it helped but did not fix the problem.
So at the I decided to use a cleaning solution that comes in cartridges specific for your printer. Its name is UNBLOCK UNCLOG CARTRIDGES, Its seller in E-bay is Sy1507. It worked. but for example it took me around three days. I printed a job and let it sit for a couple of hours until the page printed all white. After the page prints all white then you change the cartridges with ink and do a test print and if prints right, do a print job, You will be amazed at the results. Good Luck.

My Epson 1400 is printing blacks green. After gray 40 % all my gray and black is coming out green. what can I do to solve that, and please don't tell me to chane my printer I just boughted it 4 months ago.

The printer is using your color cartridge to print black and greys.
The black cartridge must be empty and will need to be replaced.
The color cartridge has depleted one of the primary colors required
to print black.
Both cartridges will need to be replaced

Can't print a cd on epson stylus 1400. The printing queue says paused.

right click on the print job in the queue, and click "restart". Other wise try this:

If you've ever had a print job hang, you're probably familiar with the Windows Print Spooler window. You get to this window simply by selecting the relevant printer from the Control Panel's Printers and Faxes applet (simply Printers in Vista). In the somewhat unusual event of a printer queue jam, you can go to the Print Spooler and simply delete the job. Sometimes, though, the system won't let you cut off print jobs that way: It marks the job "Deleting..." but never quite gets there, and you end up rebooting. But there's an easier way.
Open a command prompt (go to Start ' Run, then type cmd) and enter the following:
net stop spooler
del c:\windows\system32\spool\printers\*.shd
del c:\windows\system32\spool\printers\*.spl
net start spooler
In Vista you'll need to open an elevated command prompt by right-clicking on cmd.exe and selecting Run as Administrator. For those of you who remember batch files, use Notepad to save the four commands above as a batch file. I've named mine Killqueue.bat.

Epson 1400 Printing Orange colors Green

The problem can be two fold. Wrong cartridges, or blocked/damaged inkjet openings. Return it to the seller under warranty if its brand new. If it was fitted with non epson cartridges your warranty may be in question.

But I could almost guarantee the black qand the blue cartridges are faulty or their feed jets are

Change ink cartridge on epson stylus SX200 -printing head moves from side to side but then parks to the R and I cannot get access to change the cartridges.........

The ink cartridges are all separate so you press the cancel button (with no jobs pending) to bring the cartridge holder in to the right place open the holder remove the cartridge and then replace it, let the printer purge the cartridge then your good to go

I have (4) documents to print, but it won't print. It says: 4 document(s) pending owner

To cancel a print job in Windows you can use one of the following two methods:

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB WITH THE PROGRESS METER:
When you send a print job to the printer, the Status Monitor will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. Another printer icon for the PROGRESS METER will also appear in the taskbar while printing is taking place. This PROGRESS METER is there so you can manage print priorities or cancel print jobs.

1. Highlight the print job in the PROGRESS METER box.
2. Click on DOCUMENT and CANCEL, or, right click on the job name and left click CANCEL or DELETE.
3. Confirm cancelling the print job.

CANCELLING A PRINT JOB FROM THE PRINTERS WINDOW:
If no PROGRESS METER appears, you can access the document queue in this fashion:

1. Open START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS (START, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTERS and FAXES in Windows XP).
2. Right click on your Epson printer name, left click PURGE PRINT JOBS (98,ME), or CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS (2000,XP). (Or, double-click on the printer name to see and modify the status of documents in queue.)
3. Confirm cancelling all documents.

Keep in mind that once information has been sent to the printer it resides in the spooling folders within Windows. It may a while for printing to stop as this data clears the system.

If the printer continues to print (ie multiple copies of a cancelled job, or garbled print) remove the rest of the paper from the printer and allow it to run out. Once an "out of paper" type error appears on your screen, cancel the documents. Once all print job information has deleted, reload the paper and press the paper feed button once to clear the red light and return the printer to a ready state.
