I have sony bluray disc player S370 I went to set up scrolled down to resetting selected "reset to factory default settings" scrolled down and selected "system settings" and selected "start" turned off the dvd player waited about 5 seconds and turned it back on. Choose netflix, which is what I was having trouble with in the first place, and it connected. I haven't tried other internet connections through the system, however, if this is truly a sony server issue, it should correct any internet connection issue you may be having.
cant use both hdmi and opti outs try sum setting in blue ray but u nee dto plug all blue ray dish directto samsung hdmi then 1 master digital out form tv to sterio digital i n ok tell samsung your output also
When you see "Mode Not Supported," hold down the "stop" button on the
Bluray player for about 15 seconds and release it. This should reset the player to the lowest resolution over HDMI.
Check other Bluray player settings such as deep color, resolution etc. for conflicts.
Yes, you can connect the HDMI Cable from the Blu-ray Player to the TV directly and then, connect the Digital Optical cable from the Blu-ray Player to the Receiver.
plug the sony player into your home network via a network cable ( should be a network port ( RJ45 port ) on the back of it and then update the firmware - unless its already the latest version, if it is then post back with any error messages or whats happening exactly when you try to select HDMI or is it greyed out ?
This is button config for master reset without picture:

wait a couple of seconds for settings to complete, when you switch back on you should have a picture and be back at language set up screen.
Hope this helps.
With sony products sometimes you have to use sony parts to get it to work. I would suggest to buy a sony HDMI cable and see what happens if that doesn't work then take the player back to the store because you got a faulty player.
