Photosmart HP all in one 2575 printer . Since upgrading to Mac snow leopard the scanner will not work whilst the printer is fine and the scanner works just scanning on printer.

The Mac Snow Leopard has a built-in driver for the HP Photosmart C6180 all-in-one inkjet Printer. click on your system preferences under the apple at the top left of the screen, then click on Print

Shortly after the world started upgrading to Snow Leopard, reports began emerging that many Hewlett-Packard printers were incompatible with the upgrade. So, you can wait till you get the updated driver which is compatible with Mac Snow leopard. Good Luck!
You need to update your driver by getting the latest software in the Lexmark website here.
During software update what usually gets updated are the basic functionalities. In this case it looks like the scanner is not being updated as well. Hope this helps.
I have this problem most times that I upgrade OSX. I remove the printer in system preferences, download the latest drivers from HP and then re-install. It's working better than ever now with Snow Leopard.
Heads up.. HP Scanner software (ex. HP device manager, HP Scan Pro) no longer works in Snow Leopard OS since it's already preloaded. There are three methods for you to scan. 1. Preview 2.Image Capture 2.Scan under Print and Fax
The HP CD and web download were created before Mac OS X v10.5 development and release so there may be problems with the install process. They are yet to release new package to suit check here for details and updates
