Question about E-Mu 1212M Sound Card

1 Answer

Hello, my name is jimmy. I have just had a problem with my 1212m pci card. There is no signal coming out of the two 1/4inch jacks, even though there is signal showing in the patch mix programe. It was all working fine, I had my monitors plugged straight into the 1/4inch jack outputs on the sound card, but I decided to have them outputs going to my mixer instead so I could use headphones as well. That is when the problem started as I could not get any signal into the mixer, and when I plugged the speakers back into the sound card only to find that there too was no signal. Could it be a problem with patchmix, or is it a hardware issue? Thank you for your time. Jimmy

Are you using a PC? If so check to make sure you have no "conflicts" going on in your system. Default the patch mix, the re assign the default audio devices in your system settings and try again with the patch mix and monitors. Unplugging normal jacks/xlrs should not cause this to happen. Just a fluke it happened at the same time.
I would check for any software/firmware updates too

Hello..can anyone tell me pls if grafic card ASUS R9 390X 8GB will work on motherboard HP IPIEL LA REV 1.03 ?

wow no PC stated. just the mobo number,
looking that up in the REVERSE is no easy
Asus ,makes many r9 cards, not just one model.
most are x16 PCI express cards
so the real question (me guessing true full model names )
is you must have PCI- express x16 slot on that
mobo.do you?
what are you doing, gaming, (the dream)?
tell the helper whats up, a goal.... PC can play mS solitaire or
$60 Titan 2 game, with huge demands on GPU>
that card also needs a ATX-2 (12v) aux power jack you PC's PSU does not have, the x16 slot only does 75 watts max,
the mobo, some gutless celoron 450s
runs a Intel G45 Express , chip (early and limited)
and one:
1 x PCI Express x16 (2.0)
slot.
by card that matches that slot spec.
and PSU that can connect to its, aux power jacks or it fill fail.
if not gaming , (you are abandoning Intel GMA (X4500) HD) for some unstated reasons, then buy a dirt cheap, x16 card that needs no aux power. simple as that.

Need to know what pci card to buy for a 830 gateway computer to make it wireless

Any Pci wireless card should do, although I'd go for a trusted make like Belkin, or Netgear. You basically want one with the following specification. (as an example)

It is support by some hardware manufacturers but generally your hardware has to support it. So it is possible.

I need em 8810 sound card driver.can you help me?

try looking for the drivers for the, say, Emu 1212m PCI on the EMU site. The 12112m sound system consisted of an em8810 PCI card and an em8820 interface card as a set. They don't list drivers for the 8810 but they do for the 1212m sound system and those will work fine. They have beta Win 7 drivers but if you can find them, the Vista drivers work fine and in 64 bit as well.

I work with windows 7 and i need a driver for the sound card

This is a link to E-Mu for info for the 1212M sound card. Unfortunately Win 7 is not listed. Does Win 7 offer running a program/drivers in compatibility mode? Just a thought.

EMU 1212m clicks in audio

Note that there are new drivers that can be found on http://www.emu.com and that some E-MU products need to be grounded, like my E-MU 1616m, check also the ASIO drivers settings,
setting in them the milliseconds to low wil also
cause audio stutter.

Succes.

May be worth a minute to look at.

Philips SAA7130 TV Tuner/FM Radio/Video PCI Capture Card problems

Have you checked the installation? - most PCI capture cards use the audio card of the PC for sound. A jumper cord is needed to come out the capture card and into the audio line-in jack. Green jack on the capture card is OUT, and the Blue jack on the sound card is Line IN.
