Bosch dishwasher My Bosch dishwasher is not draining and a tap symbol has lit up, any suggestions please

I had this same problem and in addition as it ran water dripped out the bottom while the dishwasher was running just before the tap light came out. Check the outlet hose is not blocked. Ours was blocked at the T junction where it met the sink outlet. Once the blockage was cleared we hit another problem - the pump kept trying to drain - even when the door was open. Found an excellent solution to that on this site. It had occured as the previous problem had casued the flood switch to be triggered. We had to tile the sihwasher back 45 degrees to fix it. Now its workig fine again.

    I just had this problem. I pulled the machine out to check inlet and outlet hoses. I then manually lifted the pump which is inside the dishwasher (small round grey dome). It then emptied properly and I restarted the machine. Works fine now.

That normally signifies a leak. Under the machine there is a plastic pan with a sensor in it. However Bosch have a different idea.

Hi Julie.
A dishwasher needs access to water numerous times during it's cycle. You'll have to have the hose on the tap with water pressure on while the machine is in operation. You could exchange your tap for one with thread or install a second one behind the current one.
(Slightly agricultural repair)
When installing a dishwasher the drain hose outlet MUST be above the water level in the machine or the water will run out as soon as it is put in...They usually connect to the S bend under the sink.
It would probably be best to have a handyman/plumber attend to the job.

sounds like you have a water leak. The machine is fitted with a leak detection device that runs the drain pump constantly as a safety mechanism. If you want to look your self you will need to pull the machine out and tilt it back and if possible remove the bottom panel, should be 4 screws, this gives you access to the components. If it doesn't come off then you will need to remove either 1 or both of the side panel, its just a number of screws holding them. Then see if you can see where the leak is coming from, you may need to order a new part. Hope this helps.

I hate to point out obvious things, but did you crank your line tap all the way out clockwise? And if you are using a line tap, are you sure the piercing needle conpletely punched through the hose?
Try removing the water line from your dishwasher and opening the valve to verify water flow.

need to check your water supply from the house to the dishwasher, it won't operate properly if the water level in the washer is low. Check the water valve at the sink ands the water valve at the dishwasher.

You can check the drain or the filter. You will have to pull it out of the space it is now to access it. Items will get stuck in the drain clogging it.
