TV picture is oversized and we cannot correct it. Heads and borders are cut off.

Confirm that your source(s) are set to "widescreen" or "16:9". If you have the remote, use the "wide" button to cycle through the aspect settings. One setting should look better than the rest, without cutting off any of the picture.

This should be correctable through your TV remote. There should be a button on the remote that displays TV settings. One of those settings should be to adjust picture size.

If you are using cable TV there a button on the remote "*" which zoom in and out. You can also check with your cable company in case you have HD TV and not using a HD box.

Look in ur remote control for a button like Zoom, Aspect,VIEWMODES,P.Sizes.Tries one of these buttons to tuggles the pictures sizes on the tv screen.

Picture too large for screen

Press "wide mode" on TV remote until it is on "full". Check for same on set-top box.

Screen cuts off top of heads

Check the menu settings for the picture. You may be expanding the image to fill the sides, in the process, cutting the top and bottom.

Picture is not centered on monitor leaving a 2 1/2" black border on Philips LCD

I have a Philips 30 inch LCD and solved the problem by using the circular arrow button on the TV remote. Pointing it at the TV and clicking "right" (3 o'clock on the button), the picture moved right. Same thing on for "left". Worked for me.
