Ihave a 175000 btu Lite 2 Jandy Pool Heater model # LD175P. It takes approx 3 hrs to go from 48 degrees to 100 . Why so long?The spa is 7ft in diameter and normal spa depth.Should I have a more btu heater? Propane is the type of gas.thank you

That seems to be a pretty good heating rate. You're talking about 52 degrees in 3 hours. If you want quicker heating, you will need a higher output heater.

Check your heater by-pass valve and be sure it is almost closed. If not that then it will be your internal by-pass. These will force water through heater and keep it from overheating the water inside it and shuting it down. Also check to be sure the baskets are clean and the filter is clean.
A. Check fuses on igniter wires. Identify and correct
loose connections or broken wires.
B. Measure room temperature resistance and
ensure value is in the correct range. See manual
for details.
C. Replace igniter.
