probably a problem with the internal clock. You could always reset it, for me, it wouldn't be worth it. Some texts will be a funky time, others will be fine

I would suggest you to return it to Pantech and try to get a software upgrade (if there is!). Although, I would recommend you NOT to use it. Even if the Pantech exchange it for a new one, the same problem will happened in a day or two.

there is a small very delicate ribbon cable that connects the screen to the circuit board that has probally broken. it is a common problem on phones that flip like yours does.
