Hp psc1110 hi there have a printer scanner copier all in one it seems to print fine and copy fine but won't scan????? It says theres an error and it's not connected properley. I Lost the disk whilst moving house and downloaded the driver or sumthing? for software is this perhaps the problem?? Can you help?/

Make sure there is a scanner driver loaded in your computer. The printer driver only will not work the scanner

first you confirm scanning is working or not if it is working fine there is no issue with printer, if it is not working problem found with scanner assay you need to contact hp service center....

Do you have the option installed on you copier??? Also, there is another ether connector for scanning. If it is installed it is right above the print PCB.

If you're using Vista, this happens all too regularly with HP printers. I've had a few where I have to uninstall everything then re-install to make things work.
Two weeks later the same thing, same process.
Try downloading latest drivers from HP and see if that helps. HP don't admit there's a problem.
Don't seem to have this problem with Epson printers tho.

PSC 1401 will print but it will not scan
